Growing up, I got a hold of a lot of reprint volumes of the original Marvel Comics, and the City of Fear book has always been one of my favorites. To finally get a pack of figures that homages that arc of the Marvel UK run is just awesome to me. Xaaron especially is one that fans have needed for a long time, as he’s a pretty important character, and aside from the issues carried over from the Reflector mold, I think he works great. But Flame, I’m conflicted on. The WfC Megatron mold just doesn’t work great for him, imo, especially cuz there’s no original sculpt in tank mode to make him look just a little more like his comic tank mode. On the other hand, due to his obscurity he very likely had to be a retool of someone, and there’s just not any close matches that would work for him, so this was probably the best they could do. And it’s just cool he got a figure at all after nearly 40 years since his debut. While this isn’t my favorite of the Comic Edition sets, it is the most meaningful to me, and despite their flaws I’m happy to have them. Now they just need to make the Sparkabots somehow and the main cast of City of Fear will be complete
Yeah, that original comic is amazing for how it still holds up today. Flame isn’t the best, but personally out of the molds they could’ve used I think this was the best one (I mean I’m glad it’s not a Siege Megs repaint). I do adore we’re getting comic weirdos, and hold on cause i’ll be reviewing some more!!

Oh yeah true that, i’m hoping we get a golden rodimus at some point for that. Man, Primus was always just possessing guys left and right.

Yeah hopefully we'll get a little deluxe of him in Age of Primes, I feel like he's definitely on the radar.
