This is deliberate pairing of a distressing memory (which spontaneously activates the sympathetic NS) with a planned pairing with the parasympathetic NS), until the PNS is dominant or exclusive. It’s simple but brilliant.

In case of implicit memory, there is no beginning and end of the memory. No video can be played. Visual memory if any is fragmented.
