While normally I'd lean towards small stalls, this is an event run by some of the best upcoming chefs this school has to offer, so no matter where you go, you better have spare clothes

So it's just numbing spiciness, a key trait of Sichuan chinese cuisine.
"Mala" is extremely popular in Thailand rn. So many restaurants have Mala flavored something like Mala hot pot, Mala skewer, Mala ramen etc.
