    As an Aussie I can confirm that this is pretty accurate to life here. Great playthrough 😀

    I’m getting a strong 7th Continent vibe here. Seems like it’s an interesting reimagining of that.

    47:25 you said those cards don't return to your hand yet and that they are still on cool down. Once they slide off the cool down area you are allowed to use them. Can you explain?

      I imagine the rule is that the cards remain on cooldown even after the fight is over, so they decrease in cooldown as the turn timer on the right decreases.

    4:20 in you say you can use the Hydro tag from the skill card. Is this actually correct cause from what we read is that you can use a skill card if it has a skill tag with a border and you actually play it down.

      As far as I'm aware, he's incorrect. You get the tag from the center abilities on cards, or the level 2 talents only.

    Hi, love the way you present the games :) I have a rules question though: At around th-cam.com/video/3El3scr6O6s/w-d-xo.html you get another white die for the challenge by just having a certain skill school card in your hand. Is that the correct ruling ? As I understand it it is the keyword that matters and you get that for having the level 2 talent for the skill school in question. Otherwise I don't understand the point of having that keyword at all on the talent tile if having a card from that skill school is enough.

      sorry i haven't played the game myself, but if you ask here: boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/294378/divinity-original-sin-board-game/forums/0 you're sure to get a solid answer :)

      The video is incorrect. Your understanding is correct (plus those rare cases where the tag is in the centre of the card)

    Dang I Kickstarted this thing 4 years ago and here's Shea playing it for me before I receive my copy.

      yup, it's very standard that once production is done and games are on the boats shipping around the world, a 2nd small print run is made for reviewers that is air-shipped around the world at much higher cost. all publishers do this, it's been pretty standard for almost a decade now :)

      @@rahdoJust an other despicable practise in an industry full of such and ever adopting more of them.

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      oh, i don't see it that way. the fact that they pay a boat load of $$$ to make a special additional small print run that they air express to reviewers around the world doesn't mean it takes any longer than it otherwise would for backers to get their games via the feight shipping.
      it just means while backers are waiting, they get to see what they're waiting for, and the publisher loses a portion of whatever tiny profits they made to make that happen.

    • @Biodelic
      @Biodelic 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rahdo The only reason for sending review copies to a TH-camr, after the game is manufactured, is because the game either goes retail or is further distributed / made available. Therefore, it is a calculated marketing expense and serves to enlarge those "tiny profits".
      It's all about the Benjamins. This channel should know this better than any other related to this industry.

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      yes, tiny profits. maybe i'm reading you wrong, but i think you're implying that people are making big money in board games? sorry to say that's not the case except only a few extreme circumstances.
      and are you suggesting that boardgames shouldn't be marketed so that the publishers can stay in business and make more games for you? i'm not sure why you'd want that... marketing product to increase sales is the cornerstone of capitalism.
      now if you're saying that the entire concept of market driven economy is "despicable", then I'd think we've got an interesting discussion here, and maybe we'd find some agreement. but within the parameters of how the world works, i don't know why you think boardgames should not advertise the same way that other products do.

    Huge fan of the video video games (BG3 not so much), own physical Special Editions of both D:OSs, so the board game is hugely appealing, but…the price is absolutely insanely absurd.
