I think the key is his pronunciation of English. As far as many other MikroTik materials go, unfortunately, they're very hard to follow due to non-English native speakers who butcher the language to the incomprehension. :( Thnx man and just keep it going! :)
On a second thought, the pronunciation isn't the best, but unlike so many other Mikrotik related materials, these I can easily follow without frustration because there's no ambiguity even if the pronunciation isn't good - what's being pronounced is always shown on screen. :)
I much prefer port based vlans on routers( if you have the spare ports) Its simple and easy for everyone to understand without even having to log into the router. Its fine for linking switches to carry all vlans on one port .
Good tutorial but I like to see different scenarios on best practices on how to configure Trunk VLANs and port based VLANs on Mikrotik routers. I am looking guidance to have a guidance on Hybrid VLAN ports (Tagged and untagged) To attach IP phones and a PC on the same physical port. Most of the examples that I see online shows only trunk VLANs setup and commands varies depending on the RouterOS version and even the HW model. Thanks!
