As random Japanese fan of Haz, P3rd is "truly" peak in Japanese video game history. LITERALLY every single kids in Japan have played this game in early 10s. I really don't know why P3rd is not available out of Japan...

Well zinogre being the flagship monster for P3rd probably did wonders for it's popularity. I mean the doggo is literally ranked among the top 5 monsters in the 20th anniversary poll.

@@Upotrex GU is fun, but it doesn't have the same charm to me. I have played it on switch.
MHFU: a PSP game that combines all the good stuff from gen 1 and gen 2 in a single package, with a G rank expansion and a bunch of content, including a few guests from frontier (Lavasioth, Hypnocatrice and the Great forest map).
MHP3rd: a PSP 3rd gen game except without underwater and a different setting, has more content than Tri (Zinogre, some returning flagships, a bunch of subspecies, Ukanlos and Akantor) tho its still a high rank game
(Also this game came out before 3U which basically adds all the content that was exclusive to P3rd plus G rank)
TLDR: Haz should play 3U
Okay this was really well done and very entertaining. My buddies and I are playing MH3U locally together and were having fun, three 3d's and one wii u. After we're done with 3U we were planning on playing either portable 3rd or freedom unite so this video is perfect!
I just hope there's a way to play multiplayer on either game on PC. New to the whole MH emulation gang. Great video, the editing is so well done, informative and really funny. I'm gonna share it with my buddies!!
No worries, you can multiplayer on PPSSPP too, hell there's discord servers dedicated to Online.
I recommend HunsterVerse that's what I use to play online but if it's with friends you could use Zerotier trough host has to be connected or it won't work with Zerotier
P3rd was my second ever MH and the first game I ever solo'd completly on japanese cause I didn't know how to patch my psp. It's in my Top3 MH games
I love MHFU. The hitboxes just make me crazy sometimes (fking Plesioth). But 3rd is funny. Is the best Vanilla edition for MH. For someone who just start playing is a pretty good option.
Mhfu has more things but P3rd is more fun to play sincerely.

One of things that saves p3rd is the fact that it has some of tri’s maps. They’re all fantastic and have great music

i always recommend to someone who wants to try MH game that MHP3rd HD Ver is easiest game to play and if you want a darksouls like experience where you need to master every monster moves, it and dodge hitboxes play MHFU.

Mhfu is More challenge game than What Mhp3rd can do, in facts is that Mhfu fighting With Monster is crazy and fun to play more things than mhp3rd.
Oh wait lets not forget about what i actually hate in playing mhp3rd is The Sharpness thingy where you upgrade and all weapons in mhp3rd don't even have purple or pink idk what you call it, but all almost of them don't even have one while FU does have one.
Rathian armor got +20 Hp increase, with not that, it'll the same damage as the tigred clip
True, but P3rds Rathian Low rank armor can tank the strongest Elder dragon with negative dragon res while having +20 health while FU End game Armor with plus dragon res can still get two shot by a high rank Tigrex that are not even enraged. So yeah point still stands that P3rd is easy (then again some people prefer easy games)

Although mhfu has much more content, G rank and more elder dragons, it does not mean that it is the one with the most technical errors, I not only follow it because of the hitboxes, but also because of the erratic movement of several monsters, many monster movements hurt you just by walking, etc.
That's why I prefer MHP3rd to FU, even though FU was my first Monster Hunter and I finished it from start to finish like the good masochist that I am.
The only problem is not having the G rank.
And im still enjoying p3😊

I didn't knew p3rd didn't had grank what a shame. But i stopped mhfu cuz of the monster hitbox it was annoying me at some point. But i agree there is more content
MHFU is the upgrade version of MHP2 while P3rd is the first game, compare both those game makes no sense at all, and they remove underwater because both analogic and d-pad were at the same side in the psp
You want to make a fair comparison use MH3U and MHFU, same thing if you use MH4 vs MHFU its not fair, its only fair to compare Gversion with Gversion
MHP3rd did not got a Gversion because vita was announced and sony did not want to help with the online play, something that nintendo did help with, thats why we got a MH3U(or MH3G)
I did say it was kinda unfair, also they're both on PSP that's basically my main point, also P3rd is the 2nd game and tri was first.

@@HazIsLazy I mean they are both on PSP so is MHP2, MHP1 and MHP2G(Freedom Unite), but MHP2 was not release worldwide, same with MHP3rd and IMO capcom at the time thought it would be not fair to release TriG for PSP when they didnt have the "first" one, It was really a strange time, I bought a PSVita just because capcom showed a P3rd on vita on a E3 trailer, I thought they were going to release worldwide but nope, and not only that they stop releasing for sony consoles because of cost and sony not wanting to help while nintendo wanted to help and even help with translation of MH3U
Oh and MHTri was meant to be a PS3 title, but yea develop cost and sony not helping

My brother introduced me to Unite and I never knew about Portable 3rd, but when I learned there was an English patch I tried it and hated it at first, but played it more and fell in love with it which made me abandon Unite, it also introduced me to 3rd gen.
Anyways 4U is better than both
Elder dragons dont define dragons its define special monster that are to strong and destructive that u dont can put that monster in categories besides elder dragon u can read that in the Manga Minster Hunter Flash hunter
for me g rank is very difficult in my opinion since I'm a solo hunter, I prefer Mh titles that only reaches a high-rank level...
mhfu has more content but p3rd has 3 in it so it must be tangentially related to 3tri therefore it is better /j

3rd has better gameplay and slightly better graphics, but less stuff
And FU has a ton more of content to feed your masochism for more hours with the clunky gameplay
P3rd has better hunting horn for sure
But it also removed heat/cold levels
Like you will not suffer from those effects if your skill is level 10 on the Snowy Mountains and Volcano
But you need level 15 for the top parts
In this case p3rd has enough with 10 points for the entire map, plus removes terrain damage in the volcano
Terrain damage is still a thing even with enough points in FU
FU has comrade skills decorations but i haven't tried those yet
Gunner sets/weapons feel way more stronger in FU than P3rd
Like i can beat a G8 Rathalos with a High Rank bow but in P3rd i can waste all my ammo and not beat any High Rank Zinogre
FU has Purple sharpness
P3rd barely some white in a few weapons
High Rank armors have way better designs in FU than P3rd
FU also has Neutral armor sets that allows you to use Swordmaster or Gunner weapons without having to change
Those Veloci, Gen and Ioprey armors are beautiful
And the guild worker outfits too
Also Rathalos fireball looks better in FU, idk why but P3rd Rathalos and Rathian fireball looks so cheap and weak
FU also has this special events thay might happen during a quest
Either you cut in half a Veloci, Gen, Ioprey or whenever they jump to attack they get hit by the big monster and are thrown away flying
And i always laugh with that 😂
And the tigeex is not even low rank lmao it's high rank
