- Zitnik Trains model train shop is a store I've wanted to visit for a while now, on my most recent trip to Florida I finally got the chance and was pretty impressed by the place. I also got to meet Robert Sacco who's been a long time subscriber of this channel. / rpscsx
SMT - The 3 rail track in the plastic bin was Standard Gauge track. American Flyer made it as well, but called it Wide Gauge. Lionel made Standard Gauge trains from 1906 to 1942. Lionel started making O gauge track & trains around 1915. Lionel started making O27 gauge track for its Winner Line trains in the early 1930s. The Winner Line trains later were called Lionel Junior. Marx, & its predecessor Joy Line, made O27 gauge track starting in the mid 1930s. Benz Trainz has a Standard Gauge train in a couple of his videos from last year.

I live 20 miles from zitnik, Gale is a wonderful owner. I buy all of my Catolog O gauge trains from zitnik. And she always gives me the 10% discount! Always. Very good repair shop also

This is a great store, and I'm happy to be friends of owners Dave and Gale Zitnik. They and their entire staff are kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and honest people who work hard every single day. I hope everyone has the opportunity to visit at least once, because you'll return many times after that!
My parents and I were down in the Tampa-Pinellas Park area in Florida a few years ago. On our way to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, I saw the sign for Zitnik Trains and asked my dad if we could go there. He said, "Yes.", and we were able to visit the store after our trip to the Tampa Science Museum.
At Arnie’s model trains, I got an Ho SP dash 9, WP u28b dummy, Walthers cleaning car, & a CNW closed hopper. Over there, there were lots of HO dummies & powered locomotives for $5-$35. All of them were athearn. I also saw a CNW and UP dash 9. I wish I got that CNW dummy or that UP dummy. But anyway, I saw lots of used Ho locomotives. Best train store ever.
Heyyyyyy! Glad you visited! Yes, the stuff is moderately priced, which is nice. Seems they sold a lot of stuff since I was there. A good sign. I don't remember seeing all those doodlebugs!
