What do you think of these "A Day in the Life" vids?? Let us know in the comments 👇🏼 Hope you enjoy seeing the island from the SCUBA point of view once again and this time with a few sharks! 🦈
Thanks guys... yeah it's been a really fun change taking Arlo over to the school.. he is loving it and getting so much out of it!!! Stands out just a little haha
So look forward to Tuesdays to see what you guys are up too. Arlo you are such a great runner and ball player. Filly you are really great at snorkelling 🤿.
Loved this weeks episode. It’s great to see Arlo at Kindy. Please share more of the day in the life videos. Loves seeing your diving as well (only cause I can’t dive). Have an awesome week. 🐠🐟🌸🌟🌴🇸🇧
Thank you so much for bringing under the sea for landlubbers like me... Awesome! So brave of Phily to snorkel with sharks and Ifound myself cheering for Arlo at Sports too... Looking forward to next Tuesday's episode!
So good you enjoyed it!! The kids had a busy day and it's actually really good for them to have that time apart... Next weeks ep is a really special one to me and I am so nervous - hope you like it!!! 😊
Wow, just wow! Loved your day in your lives. The joy of the kindy kids, the majesty of sharks, and especially attentive and dialogic parents made this special.
A beautiful episode. I can’t help but think how lucky your little ones are growing up where they are and how lucky they are to have you both as their parents.❤️
Aww gosh Di that’s so lovely. We feel the same way about where we are with the kids especially at this age. And just trying to do our best and constantly learning as parents. It’s no easy job 😜
@@TheIslandLifeofUs no it’s not an easy job but you both look like ur doing a great job! Most important job in the world - bringing up yr little ones ❤️
OMG cuteness overload! Those sharks! OK...the kids from the village interacting with Arlo were pretty cute too! That was an awesome vid. They're just getting better every week, I love them.
Hey! Amateur free diver and lover of marine life here! Just came across your excellent channel and have subscribed. What strikes me is the quality of your photography, the information about the marine life you provide, and the fact that you’re living the dream! I am considering something similar for my young family! I will continue watching and will sure find inspiration for my own filming! All the best❤
Thanks Belinda!! Arlo is having such a great time over at the kindy - I really wish he could go more but it's a huge deal with the boat ride over etc. so just trying for once a week.. Great diving.. and plenty of sharks around as you'll see next week 😜
Another excellent story. It was so nice to Arlo living his own little life away from home. What were the larger sharks, near the end of the episode? Keep them coming, our family is loving to sit down and talking about your activities.
Yeah he’s loving it hey!! We missed Kindy this week because we’re away at the moment but luckily we’re too busy and he hasn’t noticed as I think he’d be so upset to ever miss it now 😂 the larger sharks are grey whalers 🦈 beautiful sharks and usually see them deeper when diving compared to free diving or snorkeling 😉
You continue to improve the quality of your videos. Absolutely love the underwater shots. If I lived on Uepi I don't think i would spend much time on land 🐠🐡
ahh thank you so much.. I feel as if there is an endless amount of improvement available to us... that's what keeps me editing honestly.. I love learning more and more with every video!
Truly loved the video again, like we are there with you for just a moment - in paradise. Benjamin loves seeing your kids and Nemo, for the rest not interested 🤣🤣🤣 sometimes also the sharks. Have a wonderful day beautiful people 💙🙏
Ha ha Benjamin - when Arlo and Filly watch our episodes they mostly like seeing sharks, themselves and Nemo too!! haha that made me laugh! Same to you guys xo
@@TheIslandLifeofUs OK , big list...Kids sports day, soccer, feasts, local fishing, market gardens, maybe even a church service, so much to see. Could also do a environmental episode showing/explaining timber logging (the good, the bad, the ugly)
Thanks Sally. The staff are mostly doing really well considering the current situation. With the resort closed we unfortunately do not have any dive masters at the moment. Deliva is healthy and living life in the village and most staff focussed on living from the garden and sea which has been really positive. We have been employing staff whenever possible (and rotating to give everyone a chance for a little income) to help with development projects at Uepi but it is very tough times. Everyone will be so ready when we re-open!!!
Yeah the coconut crabs are still around. We haven’t been out looking for them in a long time but we don’t allow capturing on them on Uepi so I’d hope to see some big ones now 😊
Kia ora team! Another wonderful ep - loved the footage of Arlo at kindy (that preschooler running style - too cute!). Aww poor Filly, all the feels at her saying see ya as the boat drove away. What was the bigger shark on your dive? So many memories of great dives come flooding back watching you guys diving - Point to point, fast as down and hold on tight then let the current take you home ... bliss. And BOTCH - to this day I swear I heard Ride of the Valkyries whilst looking towards at the vast cathedral-like surface - I assume it was probably the vibrations of a boat motor but combine that sound, that light and the eels was pretty trippy! Interested in learning a bit more about the language to guys, did it take long to get understandable/fluent?
Ahhh so many fabulous dives around the island and all feel so different. We are super keen to share more diving over coming eps as I know many others like you are being reminded of beautiful Uepi watching these eps!! Jase has been fluent in Pidgin and some Marovo language since he was about 14 and for me I learnt quickly with immersion once I moved here and I was keen to learn from the staff - prior to that though I did have some basic phrases from Jase and medical tours. Pidgin is an easy language to learn I felt because it’s many English words used slightly differently but at least pronunciation is adapted. Anyway ☺️ that’s the story there!! So glad you loved the ep 🙌🏼
@@TheIslandLifeofUs my goodness, it's been almost 13 years since my wife hit you in the back side trying to serve in a volleyball match, time flies! :-)
I love the music you have, but one my most relaxing times is just listening to the sound of the coral being munched when I'm snorkelling. Can we get some quiet times with the coral noises?
We can try! We actually just arrived back from Peava and when we were diving on an outer island we could hear Kavachi (the submarine volcano) grumbling away.. with some pretty impressive sounds the deeper we went. I'm yet to determine if the sound will be picked up but we will see. Our other underwater camera in the housing has a mechanical that I don't enjoy haha but I know the sound you mean 😜
I've started at the beginning, so I don't know if you've started doing this since, but I would love to know what kinds of sharks you are seeing. I have a little shark lover and I really love all the diving videos.
oohhh amazing!!! Thank you so much for joining the tribe and watching from the start!! In our more recent SCUBA episodes we have included animal species and common names for interest!!! We are mostly running in to Grey Reef Sharks, Black Tip Reef Sharks and White Tip Reef Sharks (sleepy sharks) and the occasional Hammerhead or Tawny Nurse Shark! In this video on the dive are Grey Reef Sharks (aka Graceful Whalers or Grey Whalers)

Imagine if we did an entire "week in the life" sheesh!!! All this in a day... ha ha then it takes me days to edit it! Hope you're well Kim xxxxxx
Thank you. That was a lovely episode. I really look forward to Tuesdays!
Amazing!! That's what we want to hear 🤗
Loved it!! So epic Arlo is joining in the local kindy!! SOoooooooo adorable ! xxxxxx
Pretty cute hey!!! He loves it so much! The Dada-daughter time is the cutest thing for me 😊
Wonderful vid, full of life and fun and some beautiful sharks with Jase and Filly.
A quick but effective welcome jetty swim with the sharks 🦈👍🏼😊
