I followed this video and installed the black bracket with the vertical adjustable on the inside of the strut bolt and it puts the piston at an angle. It also made one side of my hood rest higher than the other when closed. By switching the brackets so theyre on the outsides of the strut bolts, it straightens the pistons for a cleaner look and also corrected the uneven hood. Great video and these are an awesome upgrade.
Who knew such a simple change could add so much to your car. Did this a week ago and my accord feels slightly more premium now. Adding them to the trunk was more on the tedious side for me

I used the aluminum blocks and screwed on first and stuck threw top hood. It holds it more sturdy

You can easily find them on amazon. Make sure to check the fitment for your vehicle and yes they do have it available for CRV as well

Will this work woth only one strut attached? Or does it require both sides?
Looks to me that because of the size of the bolt on the lower strut post, the larger elongated hole should be under the nut you removed.
Yes, it could work with just one strut.
There are several ways you could do it. you could use the elongated one if you don't want to drill from the one in the video.
@ 1:10 question. Does it have to go on that bolt or can it go on the one to the right?
Good question, To be honest, I am not sure. As per the instructions/layout provided it needs to be on the inner bolt as shown in the video. Feel free to try it out and let me know :) I'll try it out as well.

Yes, it would. I have a video coming out soon on how to maneuver the installation and I actually looked up the part you were referring to and it should fit. hmu if you ever encounter any problem.

Unfortunately, I haven't. Still waiting on the part, but judging by the looks of the bolt I don't think it will fit. Hopefully, the bracing strut would come in this week.

I have 19x8.5 rims from Inovit and the tire spec I have 245/35/19
Can you still open the hood fully?
Yes, but If you’re going to use the lower locket on the hood you’ll have to detach the upper locks on the struts to fully open the hood to its max and just put the struts back on afterwards
Hey 10th gen, I’m doing it now and accidentally screwed the top too much and the part that holds your hood and strut is missing inside the actual hood, what do I do?
I would say use a magnet and you hook up the bolt from there. It'll take some time but patience is key
@@10thgenAce I got new ones from them and gonna install tomorrow, is there like a lock on the hydraulics that prevent my rods from bending up and down, whenever I tired to push down it wouldn’t budge and the top screw broke and the other came off due to me screwing it on too much.
@@kevindinh5382 Ahh I see, it might've been defective. As per the screw, try not to tighten it too much as it may come lose. While installing it try to get a feel of it when tightening it.

Hi friend, what’s the length and pressure of this hood lift supports?
The dimension is 28 x 3 x 0.4 inches and I’m not quite sure about the pressure but it’s pretty stiff and strong

Bro, those bolts have an specific torque so you need a torque wrench to tie it.
