Join me on a relaxing walk around the paddock as we spend some quality time with each horse. ARIEL THE BAY ROAN FILLY: She is a 7-Month-old weanling who was imported from a Ranch in Manitoba, Canada. She is a Brabant, Percheron, QH X and her color is BAY ROAN. She was completely unhandled when we purchased her 3 weeks ago from the filming of this video. I will be working with her then introducing her to BELLE & EZZY once she is ready.
BELLE & EZZY: For more back story information: in February, I purchased Belle from an auction and well... we discovered she was pregnant about 4 weeks later following a wellness exam and quarantine! We were completely shocked but also very happy. This will be our first foal ever born at Free Spirit Farm. Here is a little background information: Belle is a 7-year-old Dapple Grey, Draft who is just under 16.2hh. On 6/16/23 Belle gave birth to her MYSTERY FOAL at 1:15AM!!! We were so excited and overjoyed upon the foal's arrival! Belle had a beautiful filly and we decided to name her Esmeralda. Ezzy is bold, intelligent, kind, willing, and independent. We absolutely adore her and Belle! In this video you will get to see the foal training I have done with Esmeralda thus far. I believe in a calm, gentle, natural approach in regard to training horses (and foals). Watch to see how baby Ezzy does during her session today! I am SO THANKFUL that Belle (and Ezzy) came into my life.

Ezzy loves you so much! It's so interesting to see the differences in personalities between Ariel and Ezzy. Unfortunately, I'm not a horse mom, but I am a mom. I raised 7 kids. Ezzy is like that child who just can't get enough attention. The child who has to sit on your lap and be a part of every conversation you have. And Ariel is like that studious girl who is reading in her room. She doesn't need or want you there holding her hand through it all. Shae, it's just a beautiful thing to see. Thank you for sharing the details of your horse relationships. I❤them all.
I loved the video about all 9 horses. and especially the still photos at the end. You are stunning wearing Western clothing and wish you would more often. I'm wondering if there will be a mustang in your near future. There are many mustangs available for adoption every year. Blessings to you and your wonderful horses.

Bagheera reminds me of the story of Black Beauty. She is lucky to have found a good final home.
All your horses are gorgeous and well behaved Shae. Keeping Jiminy and Bagheera forever is great. The only other one I think you should keep forever is Esmeralda since she just can't leave you alone. She's your special girl. Zazu might be a good one to keep forever as well because he is gaited which gives your riders a chance to feel what that is like plus you seem to really like him.
I love horses but will not have one. When I could afford one I didn't have the time and now that I'm older I can't afford one.

That was such a fun recap on all of your horses! I love them all. It’s amazing what love and kindness can do for animals like horses, who are so noble and deserve to have what you are giving them. I’m so sad when I see or hear of horses who are neglected or abused. No animal deserves that, but horses - they are just a whole other level of awesome and to see how they respond under your touch is very heart warming. Mustang mauve is your color, Shae! You look beautiful in red, with the sun glinting off of the snow and your pearl headband. Beautiful! Love you all! ❤❤❤❤❤

Yes yes yes! Shae was the first voice baby Ezzie heard. Soft and sweet in the dark of night the voice of an angel who would be her forever friend.
I know you went over it in your backstory video, but it'd be cool to have a quick shorter video on all the FSE graduates. Where you got them and what they ended up loving to do that helped them land a good home 😊
Shae, thanks for the recap on your nine horses. They are all beautiful and healthy. Ezzie made sure to hog all the spotlight while you were in with the mares. She is such a clown! Ariel is so sweet and I’m glad you have the two foals to raise together. That shade of lipstick looks so good on you!

You are so blessed to have he Life you have . I use to have 3 acres with about 5 beautiful horses I truly Loved . Life happened and I had to move . No more Horses😢.so count your blessings we had quarter😢 and Appaloosa.wonderful horses.I am 82 years old now to old to start over .I Love watching you and your 😢fur baby’s enjoy your wonderful Life with Hubby and friends ❤️🙏🙏

How many spots does Jiminey have? My "Joker"- I had Joker for 30 years. He was a bay- blanketed Appaloosa, and I counted his spots. I found that every year he would gain spots or they changed some. Try counting Jiminey' spots- kind of fun especially when horse is a bit - ticklish maybe- thinks your a fly- why are you pokin' me mom as he turns his head to look at you bugging him.
Ezzy is making sure you two are inseparable😂I think she thinks you are her second mom😆

He is such a beautiful boy and so well behaved - like all of them. It’s so nice to see Ariel thrive with you. Belle and Ezzy are truly a chapter for themselves. It will be an exciting journey for sure to follow their education! All of the horses are a testament to good training and overall treatment. Bagheera looks absolutely amazing for her age! She has a soft spot in my heart with her age and being such a great aunt to Ezzy and Ariel.

I'm in love with Ariel. Hearing how she was shipped 1,200 miles just three days after being weaned -- at, what, 3 or 4 months? -- hurt my heart. She's an amazingly centered and sweet soul in spite of that, infinitely patient and cooperative as she tries to figure out her place in the world. I'm so happy that you chose to love and rescue her from so much distress and uncertainty as a baby and hope her bond with Ezzy remains for the rest of her life.

She sure does haha! With Ariel possibly, not sure, she’s just more quiet. But I think she’s going to be a dang good mare!

Edit: I think all of your horses are stunning BUT my favorites are Gaston, Belle and Jiminey because I‘m obsessed with Draft Horses and Appaloosas since I was a little girl. (And I love the foals… they are babies and Draft Horses so it‘s self explaining.)

Shay, you are so sweet with them. What’s not to love about you that’s why they’re such good horses and behave so well because you’re so nice and sweet to them more owners need to take after you. Mushu has the best mustache. It’s so long and front fuzzy.
I found your channel when I saw a post about Belle, when you 1st got her. I am a sucker for gray horses! What a journey since then!!! ❤❤❤ It was so exciting when you found out Belle was pregnant! I am thankful that you have brought us with through all of these milestones! Bitless bridles and lipstick included! I have never owned a horse, and ownership just isn't in the cards for me. It is wonderful seeing the day to day experiences. Its like getting a taste of having a horse....kind of.....almost. Anyway, thank-you.

My best friend in HS had a horse that she did show jumping with. He was an 18.2 hand Irish sport horse. And he was huge, but he was still smaller than the draft and Clydesdales I used to see at the fair as a kid. So, it's always so funny to me when you say they are so big at 16 ish hands. Also, at 5'2" I am pretty short, and my friend is only 2-3" taller than me. That horse was the gentlest giant too!
