This ranking is so dope. I totally get how u feel with In Rainbows cause thats how i felt for the longest time. But the Strokes albums being so high up was really surprising, im glad u enjoyed them!
I'm really happy (but also not entirely surprised) Hybrid Theory #1 and Meteora #6 are where they are. For the things I've seen you look for in music, I can see why Linkin Park really hits the spot for you. Hybrid Theory is without a doubt my favorite album of all time. With that said, you'd absolutely love and adore the songs from Meteora's 20th anniversary album (A.06, Lost, Fighting Myself, More The Victim, Massive, Healing Foot, Wesside, and Resolution.) If these songs replaced the weaker songs from Meteora, it'd be my favorite album of all time over Hybrid Theory. I seriously can't describe how good these songs are and I know you'd love them.
More The Victim and Lost surely should be on Meteora over Hit The Floor or Figure.09

Both Dark Side of the Moon and Kid A are vibe albums. You listen to them in a certain mindset and _it makes sense_ . You're right that being more into the context of the time and, especially, the band's work helps you to be in the right vibe for these two.
So, if you find yourself in a bit of a more contemplative rut, thinking deeply about stuff, give one of these two a spin. It might click for you.

Respectable take on Kid A and Dark Side Of The Moon, I've never believed that either of those albums have the juice to change every, single, person's life that listens to it. If you like those albums you LOVE them, but those albums are not for EVERYBODY. I'm not old enough to remember Dark Side dropping but I very much do remember Kid A dropping and before it had a locked-in reputation it was a VERY challenging listen for quite a few people. But once people got it, it has stayed in the public consciousness and not aged hardly one bit. Death Grips will continue to grow (my personal favorite is System Blower) because it is so jarring at first but once it becomes more familiar, it becomes WAY more brilliant. Homogenic by Bjork (pronounced Byerk) IS a better album than Vespertine, every song is about the ecstacy and agony of love, the greatest and most horrible part of life and the way she depicts love as a beautiful, sloppy mess is absolutely fucking brilliant. You gonna have to be hard to not cry on video when you hear Joga and All Is Full Of Love. And last, I strongly recommend listening to the Zero 7 remix of Climbing Up The Walls by Radiohead, WHAT A JOURNEY. And then if I may, consider doing a review of Zero 7's debut album, Simple Things. It's a great album and also our first real showing (I think) from the now heralded Sia. Take care!!
