    Just completed my CCW training with Instructor Shane. The entire process from course registration through certifications was well organized. The content of all training sessions was relevant and practical; all presentations were of high quality. Instructor Shane is a true professional in his field.

    I just completed Shane's 16 hr course. The course was presented in an educational, relevant, and sometimes entertaining manor without being overwhelming or boring. I highly recommend DTF for your application process. Thank you Shane and company.

    Great video thanks for the clear instructions. I filled out the application for the Riverside sheriff's CCW permit. It took just over an hour with sending the attachments. I did end up doing an attachment for why I want to have a CCW, I couldn't fit the reason why inside the box.
    It seems that they are making the process a bit easier for people like me to get one. I do go on a lot of vacations, Tahoe, Vegas, Reno, camping in Sequoia. I always take my 9 mm, I'm a very responsible gun owner it's locked up in a case at all times while driving, and at my destination, I not so much about having a gun when I'm at my destination's, on the way there A lot can happen during a pit stop or if my truck breaks down and I'm out in the middle of nowhere, so with all that said hopefully my application gets approved and I get my CCW. Only thing I have left to do now is to take the course at the approved gun range.

      I left that blank. Now I’m doing my finger prints next.

      @@dauuiel so you doing the fingerprints before your appointment just curious. I already set up my 8 hour they're booked until November luckily my appointment at Riverside sheriff's isn't till January

      @@HowtowithPaulHenderson I just had my interview on Monday. He then emailed me the info to go get finger printed. I have my appointment for Tuesday for that. But I’m going to call another station today in hopes of finding a sooner appointment. I also hope to take my 8 hour course within the next couple of weeks. (Also Riverside county resident )

      @@dauuiel thanks daniel, so I guess I can wait for the Life Scan. I'm still going to take the 8-hour class before my interview appointment. Even if I don't get approved for the CCW which I don't see why I won't I still think the class is a good idea.

    • @dauuiel
      @dauuiel 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HowtowithPaulHenderson I would definitely wait for the interview to make your live scan appointment. Because they will email you a very specific form for your fingerprints and it is partially filled out by the sheriffs office. Yeah I would definitely take course before. Why not. That way when you have your interview you can already have your certificate uploaded into the portal. Good luck with everything man!

    Defensive Tactics and Firearms is a great company and you can tell they are all truly passionate about making gun ownership and safety a priority! Instructor Shane was patient and very informative. I learned more in the renewal course than I did with my initial CCW course. Shane provided everyday, common sense concepts for gun owners. I highly recommend both Defensive Tactics and Firearms as well as Instructor Shane. I will be sending my daughters through his basic firearms course and I will be taking his intermediate course as well.

    Great experience in a short time. In pursuit of handgun training over the last 2-years I have reviewed many training videos and taken multiple shooting classes. After a time the same lessons are repeated even though the instructors and/or facilities change, which is good for retention. However, I did appreciate instructor Shane’s additional information that I had not heard before together with the repeatable standards currently within the field.

    I filled out the online application took just over an hour uploaded all the forms. I booked my CCW appointment as soon as available was January 23 I also booked the 8-hour class at an authorized gun shop the soonest for that appointment was in November. I have a question the live Scan should I wait till I go to my appointment in January or should I do a live Scan now and do I upload that to my application

      I had my interview on the 19th of July. They told me that it takes up to 90 days for the approval. Interview was super quick and easy. The only thing they asked me was ..Were all the answers truthful, is there anything else you want to disclose and verify that all previous names and aliases are noted . that was it.. then you do the the finger printing and take your picture for permit… super easy. The clerk was also very nice.
