    Can you speak closer to the microphone and do not use music, it is hard to understand. Thank you!!

    Such a great primer on how this all works. Thank you, I now feel prepared to be able to make the quantities of Kefir I wish to consume without breaking the bank.

    After repeating the process (I'm now on my second), how do you know when you finally have a batch that is ready?

    Can you reuse teh grains I heard its possible if you leave them soaked in a small milk?

    Hi .. sorry if this is a dumb question im new at this ...when the grains start multiplying do you just weigh the amount you want and remove the rest? How quickly does this happen? Also do you clean your jar before you put your grains back in to re -ferment ? ...thanks!

    Nice. But the music was sometimes drowning out the instructions. 👍

      Hi James, Thanks for that, I actually hadn't realised, I may have to do a bit of remastering :)

      @@freshlyfermented9273 Thanks. It's a great video but definitely let down slightly by the sound. Maybe it's me as no one else has mentioned it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      I agree, a lovely video, but hard to hear from the music

      Yeah the recording of the voice on the audio is pretty poor quality, and the music is too high in the mix

    Hi I'm in the process of activating my grains, its been 48 hours now and not much has happened to the milk, just seems slightly spoiled. it may be because of cold house its been a freeze this week, should I just leave them for longer or strain them and try again with different milk. I'm using whole raw milk. Thanks

    Can u make add the grains to yoghurt making
    Also why do the grains dissolve in yoghurt making?

    Do you leave the milk out on the counter top to ferment or in the fridge?

  • @adhikariindia
    @adhikariindia 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do u heat the milk??

  • @delboy9617

    When can I start drinking the milk? You said not to drink it after the first 48 hour activation (then I move onto 24 hour fermentations). Can I drink the 2nd lot? Or do you you normally do about 5 cycles?

    • @freshlyfermented9273
      @freshlyfermented9273  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      After the activation has completed you can drink it straight away after every ferment.

    I cant get any fizz and my kefir is super watery even after many days. Does this mean my grains are sluggish pr not working at all?

    • @freshlyfermented9273
      @freshlyfermented9273  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you've activated them and that's not working, it may be an issue with the grains :(

    We don't need grains correct if we want to make homemade kefir? Just take some good kefir at your local grocery store personally. I would buy Alexandre whole fat A2 kefir which contains over a trillion cfu from kefir lab. Poor what maybe a quarter of that or half of it into a 32 oz jar and then pour weather whole fat cow A2 milk or goat's milk then cover with coffee filter and allow to ferment in a room at room temperature anywhere from 24 to 48 hours in room temperature. Is this also a good method to make your own homemade Kefir?

    So after you activate for 48 hours and you use the grains for the the next (live) round, do you ferment again for 48 hours? I thought I read somewhere that it was 24 hours?

    • @freshlyfermented9273
      @freshlyfermented9273  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You'd regularly ferment them for 24 hours after activation

    The music is annoying, it makes it difficult to follow the instructions. in the second half, it is even difficult to understand the person who is speaking, as the music is louder than the words!

    What stops the milk from going off when left out of the fridge with grains in?

    • @freshlyfermented9273
      @freshlyfermented9273  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Milk kefir pretty much is a spoiled milk drink, the key is just not to over spoil it :)
