Of course honoring full band with the F/A-18F Super Hornet!🎉 This aircraft descends from the hornet but is larger yet smaller on radar, being introduced into the US Navy a few years to a decade before the retirement of Tomcat. The hornet is a multirole carrier based fighter, allowing it to both do the fleet defense of the Tomcat while being more capable in ground attack. A beneficial characteristic of the hornwt is that though the F variant has pilot and W.S.O. the E variant is just the pilot allowing for Super Hornets to be less limited by crew. Though it does have multiple vortice causing components it isn't supermaneuverable in reality and is currently operated by US Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force. The F/A-18 is extremely versatile having been used as a, tanker, precision bomber, airsuperiority fighter, and likely multiple other roles.
The F-14 is so cool... The Final Countdown and Top Gun really cemented it into one of the most iconic jets. The variable-sweep wings maybe a pain, but damn they are badass... F-18 is cool too, mainly I think about Independence Day. Cool stuff! Thank you!
Every time I see a two-seater aircraft in this game, I just find myself wishing they'd done it like Project Wingman, and given the WSO a voice actor. Having them and Trigger having some banter would be great. Also the way you keep buzzing the transport at such close range... I swear, it's like Trigger is trying do make McKinsey spill his coffee all over himself, like in the first Top Gun every time Maverick buzzed a control tower.
Epic work, as usual. I like how Trigger appears so focused in this mission, especially after McKinsey announces that the Osean military finally believes that Trigger didn’t kill Harling. The prospect of exoneration and freedom at last is worth not shooting McKinsey at his worst. Any interfering Erusean, drone or otherwise, is liable to catch a railgun round to the nose when Trigger gets some real hope for the first time in months. And if that drone is some super drone? No playing around, no bullshit, just multiple railgun rounds and missiles until the thing is scrap. Yikes. (My headcanon is that McKinsey is either fragged by his new unit or the sole casualty of some very large ordinance strike later on in the war. Which would you prefer?) Trigger is finally free of Spare, Bandog, and McKinsey! I can’t wait to see how he reacts when it all finally sinks in. Plus to being put in command of a squadron with all the new people and privileges therein (he gets to call his family and maybe use the Strangereal Internet for the first time in months!) I also can’t wait to see how he’ll react to all of the advanced tech the LRSSG get access to… Looking forward to your future work.
Thank you! Amazing comment as usual. :D I always thought McKinsey died as well, but perhaps it's better if he just faded into obscurity without Trigger. I'll have to think about it. Yeah! I am really looking forward to this next mission! Thanks for your feedback and support!
@@ervineonline it always bummed me out that Mage and Golem squadrons weren’t at the final battle at the space elevator. It would of been a nice way to bring everything full circle
Speaking of the LRSSG, I’ve been wondering why don’t they use the F-15E Strike Eagle, so that they can have a wider variety of weapons for them to use on missions with more ground/sea targets?
My justification is that Colonel McKinsey was saving it for his personal protection. Also... I think this is one of the only opportunities I have to use it, and I really wanted to use it. XD Forgive me!
Don't worry, it's a mod. It increases the damage, a little too much I think... Made the machine gun much easier to use. I tried the vanilla MG and you really need the grouping / damage parts to come close.
The fact that Trigger wanted to railgun McKinsey's craft goes to show how much 444 hates him. And I don't blame 'em.
It's not just 444. If you listen to the post-mission debriefing, you'll find that even the General Staff is out to get him too xD
@@SeriousGranade, bros couldn't take the time to investigate Harling's death, and find out it was the doings of a drone, not Trigger?

Trigger seems to enjoy his EML session
I'm sad I have to nerf Trigger a bit during this playthrough. He is too powerful otherwise!
I'm really like this a lot. It's make me feel like I'm watching a whole series of Ace Combat 7 skies unknown!
