seeing shane take care of rick like that just breaks my heart shane was one of the best characters in the whole show and i wish it went differently for him
Truth is Shane, loved Rick. He just did get truly broken by the world he was surrounded by. It is sad when any man turns against his brother and usually they are more confused than evil.
Bro he had so much potential to be one of the last of the group standing thanks to his ideological personality so we could see after all he was right. They should’ve split Rick and him in different paths and meet again at the end to show us they were both right. Man I couldn’t believe they got rid of a complex character like that.
Maybe I am just as broken as Shane cause I come over to this video running everyday to feel this certain kind of sadness I think I’m addicted to feeling broken
you are not, listening to music increases dopamine and serotonin which gives u rush, which is why u come back to listen to it. so you come back for a bit of happiness not sadness
You're not because sadness isn't a choice, it's a byproduct of life. You can be used to being sad, but deep down no one WANTS to be sad because deep down we know it isn't nice. You come back here for reassurance, to know you're not the only one so it isn't as bad as it seems, even if it is.
That scene after Rick and Shane fight and Rick sees the two dead cops laying in the grass. The feels are real and this song highlights the fall of their relationship so perfectly.

@@Zarvl the first 2 seasons are truly amazing. The original idea for Shane’s death makes this more depressing. Rick was supposed to use Shane’s own gun to put down zombified Shane, only to realize Shane’s gun was empty the whole time. Meaning Shane never planned on killing Rick, he brought Rick out there to kill him so he could become the man he needs to be to protect his daughter, Judith. Would’ve added so many layers to Shane’s character and even Rick’s. The actor who plays Shane and the original showrunner Frank Darabont came up with this idea and it would’ve happened had Darabont not been fired before the end of S2
@@John-jt4ol Wow thats genuinely so devastating. What a punch to the gut that would have been. And a way more interesting end for Shane. Killing Shane in justified defense was one thing, but mistakenly killing his best friend when it turns out he never needed to would have fucked with Rick in a completely different way. Even more upsetting is what happened with Darabont getting cut the way he did. Imagine the entire show being as good as those first two seasons. Ugh
@@John-jt4ol I genuinely feel that still happened but in a different way, Rick took on character traits from Shane after killing him. Took on his cold nature and became the leader the group needed. Early TWD was a writing masterclass, Darabont was done dirty.

He got his!
Man i miss him so much.
@bobb which happen anyway, which is good for ricks growth
When I see him portray any other characters in his career I always see a bit of Shane in each one
I agree
yea shane was by far one of the best characters ever

Fuck yeah
Shane vs the Gov.
Dude pls lol...
the best character on TWD and Rick at his side, the truth is that Shane is the only one who adapted to the new world (maybe that was the problem)
Goodbye Shane!
Shane era el mejor personaje lejos :(
:((

Shane really did love Rick and I’ll die on that hill

fav song
Yeah I agree I think they killed him off way too soon.
I liked him before that Otis thing..
My Dear Shane...😢💔
Now it's a The National-song
It’s me again 6 months later
Glad you're back!
Yo!!! Hey bro😁
Shane should've lived longer then he did they should've made it to where rick talked him down but we got what we got and we can't change it
It would have been interesting to see Shanes reaction to Negan.
@@Zarvl Negan would've died and the walking dead would be a lot different
Whether Negan would win or not, doesn't matter. We all know Shane would absolutely wreck his shit before it was over with.
😢❤
the gif lowkey has big sexual tension ngl
lmao you've got bad thoughts mate
you're weird
so what
The lonely Walker on the Field. Shane watching him.
Yes shane.....thats you.... walking allone
Alone 😢
All these problems between them are caused by lori . Also I hated shane how he became like blind.
Shane😔
Yeah thats your real father
Haha what about Rick?
