Today let's go to Norms Restaurant, a 24/7 chain coffee shop offering generous portions of classic American food in a no-frills setting.
Norms La Cienega, designed by Armet and Davis in 1957, is one of the last remaining classic 1950s coffee shops in the Googie style.
Googie architecture is a type of futurist architecture influenced by car culture, jets, the Space Age, and the Atomic Age. It originated in Southern California with the Streamline Moderne architecture of the 1930s and was popular in the United States from roughly 1945 to the early 1970s.

Breakfast looked great Jean. Haagen Dazs for dessert! This is the kind of place where Kathy and I eat when we're on the road for breakfast or lunch. You don't see many Googie style buildings anymore and Norms looks like it would be right at home on Route 66! We love old and now unique type places like that. We were looking for George and Jane Jetson. Thanks so much for taking us along with your beautiful family!
