Thank you very much for your continued enthusiasm in the Lotus 7 design. Your finish product is Superb. I'm getting old these days but maybe, just maybe, I will get a chance to own one of these beauties. I've loved the 7 since the TV show the Prisoner was on back in the sixties.Here in America, if it's not a Chevy or a Ford, they kick it out. I think you've got a very fine product.
Really enjoyed this. Joop truly has an uncomplicated vision, and therefore the brand survives. I think that Spyker unfortunately lacked a clear vision.

XCAR... technically the Donkervoort is not "Holland's" car, but "The Netherland's." Donkervoort's HQ is in Leystad, Flevoland

Clay Griep Not really. Holland is only a part of The Netherlands. Most of the world knows that. Saying The Netherlands is also known as Holland is like saying the United States is also known as Washington.
anfrey I'm Dutch and that is not true. It's true that a part of The Netherlands is called North-Holland and another part of The Netherlands is called South-Holland. But we call our country Holland sometimes too. It's nothing like saying the US is also known as Washington.
Many people around the world wrongfully equate The Netherlands with Holland with land of the Dutch.

Rather see automobiles now and the furture to run on HHO, electric powered, magnetic surge motor generator along the highest possible integrated technology in mind than to use fossil fuels...
Or we can just deal with the petrol we have and say fuck it to etch. It costs more on the environment to make the batteries than it'll ever do to help the world with emissions.

But please change he title, it's not Holland, it's The Netherlands. The name Holland applies only to two provinces, also explained by CGP Grey: th-cam.com/video/eE_IUPInEuc/w-d-xo.html.

Love the video! It really seemed like Donkervoot was dealt a harder hand and still succeeded, plus it was over a vehicle that in my opinion had nice looks already, just wasn't something I thought was produced having some light shed on it! Can't wait to see more D8's in America!
A fellow student from the time that Joop Donkervoort studied in Eindhoven, tipped him of for a second hand manufacturing tool that enabled to develop the adapted chassis. (Donkervoort got hold of it in Veldhoven, which is a town in The Netherlands)

Nice cars, but very expensive...the Burton is much more affordable :-)))
You can't really compare the two. The one is a kit car based on a 2CV, the other is a full-bred sports car. I wouldn't mind to own a Burton though if I had a garage to store it in. :)
How exactly is he funding this?... Seems to be a serious cash flow issue with only 25 cars a year.

It's a great car but I don't really see the point in it considering the price and you can buy a Caterham that is equally fast, a tiny bit faster in fact.

Joop did a great job and realy love what he does. The D8 RS is a engineering master piece. Badly the actual models don´t share the spirit of the seven any more. The new donkis are extreme heavy and i prefer the Caterhams much more.

it was never meant to be a lotus copy. for me as a dutchman its good that donkervoort got in their own flow as it where.

adam white How many languages can you speak? Probably just one, English. This man is Dutch so it's not his native language, yet he's pretty fluent in it. Don't hate on people speaking a language that isn't their mother tongue.
