Ohh my God! I am working on electric vehicle testing division since last few years, but the knowledge I got from the 1st lecture itself very admirable. Eager to learn whole course as soon as possible. Thanks to all faculties & NPTL & TH-cam.
Thank you Sir, I am really enjoying the course. One slight comment about this course, The exergy of thermal energy supplied to ICE is way lower than the exergy of electric energy supplied to EVs. So, it is not fair to compare the efficiencies this way.
Thank you so much sir for this coarse...you explained very well... I am glad to got this coarse... I think every student who wants to do innovation in e vehicles and rectify to difficulties related to e vehicles must do this coarse ...once again thank you so much sir...
sorry to be so off topic but does someone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Lucas Kellan thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Sir i have a question you say that efficiency of ic engine is 35% where the motor provide 90% efficiency but in ev we deals with high grade energy electricity but in ic engine we deals with low grade energy heat which convert into mechanical energy so how we can compare a motor with ic engine
Hello all ,I was trying to answer the first part energy efficiency .So we have 15km per litre of petrol For Petrol its 9700whr/l for litre its 15km as given so it shall be 9700whr consumption for battery its 150whr/km i.e for 1 km its 150whr,for 15km its 150*15 =2250whr Energy efficiency=2250/9700=0.23. I suppose this is the way ,would be glad if anybody can correct this as i am also learning.Happy to learn :)
Main part of the EV are designed and built by electrical engineers and also you can choose mechanical engineering for dynamics or computer engineering for embedded system programming or electronic engineering for low voltage parts of ev. By the way I am an second grade electrical engineering who wants to work with EV's in the future :) maybe we can be colleague in the future.

petrol - 12.2 kWh/kg, 9.7 kWh/L;
coal - 6.6 kWh/kg, 9.4 kWh/L;
wood - 2.3 kWh/kg, .54 kWh/L.
Genius
Where can one get slides for future reference
What is Wh/liter for coal and wood?

How did you solve this bro
How to convert it to whl
9700 wh/l energy not use for 1 km only 20 to 30 per cent energy is use of 9700 wh, because ic engine h 20 to 30% efficiency
I directly converted 1kg of petrol to litres ... Just multiply by 0.735 to get consumption of petrol in kg .
Googled the conversion
Motor efficiency is 90% but thermal power plant efficiency is 33%
And wide range of power produce by thermal power plant
In future we study E_vehicle, which engeenering course we select in college.
