If this is in the top 10 or 20 for gaming audio what would you recommend for console gaming because my console doesn’t have an optical anymore so I need something that requires UAC-1 and 3d audio.
The Hel+ just came out a few months ago. It seems to have addressed many of the issues with the Hel 2E. I would be cool to see a review with the measurements like you did here for the 2E. Cheers and thanks for the detailed review.
Supposedly the original and even second variation would randomly cut off the USB signal or just stop working all together based on what I've been hearing. This thing is self powered, so that means it's Toslink/Optical cable, when connected from the Hel itself to lets say an OLED TV or 4K Blu-ray Player should work perfectly? I have the Sound blasterx G6, and i don't like the tacky volume dial and logo lights, finicky 'endless' winding volume dial(Which also has no arrow) and because it's not self powered.
i had a Creative SoundBlasterX AE-5 plus pure edition after 1 year of owning it. it went faulty on me after my warranty ended. im wondering if i should get the schiit hel or the same soundcard that i had. i use Sennheiser HD6XX headphones and Sennheiser pc38x headset. im currently using my mobo audio and i hate it. i live in Canada so the hel would cost me close to $400 and creative has decided to give me a small coupon for the soundcard that broke after my warranty ended. or should i get the G6 over the soundblaster
It will be nice to compare it to Creative G6, and possibly test both on high impedance headphones. I know that G6 max headphones that can squeeze everything is AKG K260 Professional (I have AKG K240 Monitor and AKG K260 Professional) and I can hear that K260 does reach full potential on moderate level unlike Monitor.

Thank you Anton. Looks like another overpriced DAC that has no sense on most cases. What do you think about Sharkoon Gaming DAC Pro S? It was very popular in the German market for a long time.
Little constructive criticism, make sure future videos do NOT feature pictures of dusty products. My Hel 2e is probably older but definitely cleaner than yours, and I'm not making videos about it. Cheers.
Thanks for the advice. I agree with you. But the problem is that my studio is in the attic, where also the dryer is located. And my wife usually thinks its a good idea to dry towels etc on the day I record. 😢

You could try to use Rightmark Audio analyzer, but it is rather hard to use.
