But we can make sure that when we grow up, we should make a change for next generation.

These practices were meant as a break from the daily routines of women , so that they had adequate rest because their body lost a lot of blood. But over time these practices transformed into illogical misogynistic myths. For the first point- women were 'advised ' to take a break from kitchen because elders didn't want their daughters to put extra strain on their bleeding bodies. Also they were told not to take a bath because the first few days are extra heavy and at that time women used to bathe in open water bodies, which would both be unhygienic and unsafe for them becuase they could easily contract an infection from the open waters. That's it . This was the logic and rationale behind restricting women from doing certain tasks which seem to be long lost in today's myth engulfed society. Any other so called restrictions you hear are complete bullshit and formed only by people who want to assert yet another form of control on women. And please, no god will punish you if you enter a temple on your period . And no kitchen will get impure if you set foot in it when you're bleeding. These practices transformed to myths like some stupid game of Chinese whisper.

We have process of digestion, process of breathing, girls have an extra bodily function called Periods. The more we talk about these things the less Taboo they become.

Hi ! How and where should one go to get tested for sti's? I ask this because, as sad as it is, we find doctors who are judgy and harsh when it comes to such matters. Especially with the younger crowd, who more often than not, are not able to consult with their parents or anyone experienced for that matter about these things and are at risk of falling into the wrong hands. Accessing the right doctors and getting tests performed can be really daunting in such cases. This may even lead to not prioritising one's health because of these existent taboos. Hence any guidance/info in this matter to make the process more easier and accessible will be of great help I feel.
