Holy shit, I didn't think we'd get the pleasure of another good album from these guys. I'm not talkin' shit, I mean, time changes and so does our neurological processes that allow us to create the things that we do. I mean, I saw this on my feed a while ago and didn't even bother clicking on it, but I'm glad that I'm here now. I watched the whole thing on my laptop, uninterrupted, with my big ass headphones covering my ears into personal solitude. Atmosphere will always make me think of being in high school when I was 17 and with my high school love. Time was a lot different then, being 26 now and all... still no kids for me, but these incredibly depressing lyrics really resonated with a lot of the things that I've been feeling and trying to process in my mind lately. Just feels like the older we all get, the less interested we become in each others sorrows. And then it occurs, that maybe the younger version of myself that thought that if I did everything I was supposed to do and practiced with unwavering persistence that this sadness I've always carried with me would finally lift away... but I'm starting to realize that it probably never will.
The sadness is a reality, its a set of sunglasses that you wear as you look into life. Where you look determines the light that shines thru and how much brightness you are willing to accept. If you are able yo handle the light eventually...the view is much better without them and you can let your light shine back.
