My son and I both have this pack and packed his Bighorn Sheep out with it. We deboned it and it did great. We mainly got it for deer hunting but did awesome in the high country
I was hoping the detachable pack would of been an alternative chest rig for the pack. I like that everything was SOOOO well thought out, unfortunately that’s due to the fact they stood on the shoulders of giants though. Thank you for the time spent building the review.
Agreed that it does stand on the design of others’. But is does build on them and not just copy them. I love the added bino pack alot. I wish it had a side option for a rifle like others. It is very modular. It does take time to get familiar with. For example: you do not need to attach the pack the way he did here in order to utilize the meat rack. There are so many ways to configure and use it. Also, as functional and light as it is, it does have to be used properly or it will break. It this way, it is a lot like a high end camping pack. It’s weird but functional.
The Fanny pack is a binoc holder with a 4 point hook up that attaches to the shoulder straps. Taken it on practice run and hope to carry meat next month.
What configuration does the 2800 have for hind quarters? With the pack having to come back over the frame, it looks like it would limit the height of your meet load. Unless you’re deboning your elk hind quarters, It looks like you’d have to turn your quarters sideways vs vertical, and that would make for an uneven weight load.
With the pack attached to the frame you would have to bone out that first elk quarter but after that you'd just strip off the pack and take the load carry setup in.
Good question. The straps go through the top of the pack and the attach to the frame. So the pack does not hook over the top as when not using the meat/load rack.
Just got one and went on just a pack trip "no hunting" but it was great. I had a 50 pound load and carried it a total of 20 miles through thick wooded mountain trails. Definitely more comfortable than anything ive had before. Looking forward to some hunts.
I’m getting this pack. Seems perfect for what I do. Not too big to be a day pack, but still has the frame for meat hunting. I’ve got some hunts coming up where I will park the truck and hike in a few miles. Should be good for that
I loved the pack design, except for the weight. It’s too heavy for the guy that will be stalking deer for miles in the U.S. SW mountain and hill country.

I have this pack. the removable pack does clip onto the front on the shoulder and waist strap and functions as a front pack for binos

Attached orange cover in bottom of pack that cover's entire pack. Great support on lower fused back and shoulders!!

that's where the compression flaps are going to come into play. Did this last year with an elk and a bear. worked great
Calling on TH-cam for aid besides the bino case is there really any difference between the k2500 and the k2800

How did the pack hold up?
Amazing pack for sure I’ll definitely not look any further then the 2800
