Thank u so much solemn vanguard for doing this video. I have been asking in the comments of previous videos for this for quite some time now. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Ty so much Solemn. I couldn't figure out for the longest time what was the optimal build was for my AqF deck. I was skeptical at first but then i went and tested it out at my locals and i got 3rd place out of 8 people. I even won the time I rode a riptide and had no accel circle the whole game XD. My problem was that i was running 5 front 3 crit. With the 8 crit now its good. Im finally ready for regionals :) . Thanks again man!
I don't think 1 top is conclusive evidence to say something is good or bad, especially in Standard where variance plays such a big role. Congrats to the player, of course, but it doesn't mean the clan is in good shape.
Ive been trying aqua force, try 8 crit, 4 draw, 4 front. Its been working wonders for me though ive been playing 4 naval, 2 maelstrom, and 3 riptide... Gonna drop the mealstrom.. Hes just... Well you said it all..
Thanks for the deck profile.. it's help a lot.. specially for the idea to build Aqua Force without draw trigger.. Some people call me insane for that idea.. once again thank you so much..
I'll definitely give this build a shot, but I still have thoughts against this build as well. On Maelstrom midgame, his 3k to front row especially allows your units to force higher guard against accel and protect. Units on an accel circle will generally still be able to hit magic numbers against a defensive trigger vs. 2 of your 3 matchups if you're playing Maelstrom. Maybe we just have different luck, but my Navalegazer midgame gets fucked by triggers, and Maelstrom has always been my better ride. The trigger lineup is something I've wanted to mess with though for sure but I still like draw PGs.
I run a similar build but I run 4 heal 4 front and 8 crit with 3 g1pg. And 3 maelstrom and 3 navalgazer. The idea is to play maelstrom as 1st ride grade 3 to power up front row with a counter blast. Alot of people say no but in a strategic standpoint it works 3k to front already puts pressure. Tidal assault is good to put with light signals penguin to give it 5k so the neg 5k won't hurt plus the maelstrom 3k boost? 12k atleast so it just depends on how u run it
I'm trying to come back do Vanguard and I was thinking of buying the Aqua Force trial deck and sharing a booster box with a friend to get some of the cards to complete the deck and buy the rest afterwards. But after I saw this video I'm confused. Should I go for this or it's not worth the money and trouble?
The clan I really like is Nubatama and I'm excited for the release of the booster box. But for the time being I think I'll settle with Aqua Force to play with my friends. And thanks for the attention haha
Honestly, accel in general is becoming really, REALLY ass. This game honestly is starting to feel like yugioh. You either play the latest busted deck, in this case ott or, in a minor scope, shadows, or you WILL have your front teeth removed from you via quick kick to the mug. Wich is a real shame, I came to this game to escape that cancer fest, only to find that, given time, even here the cancer is spreading. Bushi really dropped the ball designing this kind of support. And the real kicker is that, thanks to the fact that every clan HAS to be supported at least once a year, and that we are not close to bring out every clan, the next wave of support might very well be a year apart from us. Aqua is basically the new granblue from the early days. With huge potential, but his wings are clipped by ass support, I remember granblue from the bt 02 days, unplayable is not even enough to describe them. And bushi, why the fuck is every "relevant" clan in the anime (so it gets regular support) a force clan? Jesus just look at the list. Royal, shadows, kagero, gears and link joker are all force. And why do protect clans STILL have all the best support? They are supposed to be the defensive clans, but somehow have more offensive skills than most force clans...skull dragon and deer makes most force clans blush and call for senpai in squeaky voices. Rant over.
Dear Solemn Vanguard... How to Improve Gear Chronicle (Chronofang Tiger's Deck) without wasting your deck by binding the cards? Please make the video, it will be useful for GC Players. Thx...
Hey solid subscriber here. Maelstrom support hype! We need an updated Aqua deck profile. It’d be nice to hear your thoughts on the 8 crit 8 front again in relation to the current meta so far (post Vilest Deletor)
Eh, I still prefer Maelstrom. Ive shared opinions about it, and I just like magic numbers and adjustable attack patterns. Most of my playtesting with Navelgazer has my restanders swinging for 19k and about 1-2 attacks swinging for 22k-32k, literally praying for triggers. On Maelstrom, I can pop numbers from 15k to 35k with on-hits galore. ie)1st 22k atk restand, 2nd 23k atk on-hit +8k, 3rd-4th 15k-35k atk on-hit VG restand and if i want and have it, 5th atk and up, on-hit draw & +3k. After playing a bit, i can conclude that front triggers literally save this deck from losing attacks on defense trigger. Literally both decks need it. With maelstrom, scoring on-hits can be really profitable if done correctly. With Navelgazer you want to never give your opponent room to guard less. A crit can only go so far in a deck that can pump out 4 to 6 attacks per turn, cause wasting cards on RG is something you gotta worry about. Eh... im sure theres no convincing anyone, but i have a right to my opinion haha
For my opinion, running algos and tidal assault in the same deck is really not good. If you ran something like coral assault instead of algos then you would be generating more advantages than having algos and tidal on the field in the same time. Remember aqua force's goal is to fill up the board and tactically attack in an order that would generate an easier win condition. It's just my opinion so please don't trash talk me.
I think standard aqf doesn't work well with others because they just don't know how to play it in standard. Being accel and all, prone to getting screwed by your opponent's damage triggers, you have to attack with all your rgs first then attack with navelgazer last when you've ran out of frontrow rgs or once your oppennent gets a trigger. Most people usually swing second or third with navel then leave 2 or 3 attacks after, hoping for a front trigger that is most likely not gonna appear. That's why standard aqf seems a bit lack luster. I've been using a navelbuild with a bunch of beatsticks and the majority of its matches were wins and the deck worked consistently, 5 fronts and 7 crits.
"they just don't know how to play it in standard" ==> this is not a hard deck to play. Almost nothing in standard is hard to play. The deck just has glaring issues that need to be addressed with future support. I dare you to consistently win with this against actual meta decks like Neo Nectar, piloted by above-average players.
@@SolemnVanguard I didn't really mean that standard aqf is "hard to play," I merely meant that the way people use them is wrong. The way they see V aqf perhaps. The way they play the deck usually reflects how you'd see aqf decks work back in G, where 13k vs 12k vanguards wasn't something you had to keep in mind when choosing attack patterns. Also, I don't really think comparing it to meta decks is any fair. It ain't in the same tier as neon nectar and other meta decks in the first place. It's like comparing other non-topping decks to meta decks in way. I never intended to imply that aqf is meta. Just wanted to point out that V aqf isn't as bad as it may seem to be. The problem's with the player's perspective, not the deck sort of thing maybe? Lol.
Oh I see! Well yeah, when you make it compete within its own "tier", it of course becomes a fine deck, but I think most of people's complaints come from the fact that it actually can't compete on a real level (consistently) and that makes them sad. At least that's how I feel.
@@barnacleboi5347 thanks, I guess that means my OTT wasn't illegal, because it had 3 heals but its still 16 triggers, well I already got the 4th heal anyways.
Damn. I bought basically all the cards my friend had, thousands upon thousands of them, and I still can’t rely on what I got from him to complete this fucking deck 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑
I know the feeling, I was excited to receive Aqua force in standard but the deck is crap, like if you play againts a good opponent, they will break your board and wreck you the following turn. It hurts to say but I can't play Aqua force standard in this state cause it just frustrates me more than I have fun with it. But thanks for the deck profile cause it helped on the deck building side
I don't know why you complaining it's just started and these decks are gonna get support they have to make them slow to make the new cards more prominent in the game so think about it as a company stand point if they put everything on the table they want to make everything slow and steady so don't worry just wait and see everything will be ok
9imtheking You forget that the support gap between clans are very long. You wont see the same clan getting support more than once for like close to a year and if they do there is a chance that the cards wont synergize with the previous cards or creep them out.
Michael Zhen meanwhile royals got their third set of support announced in bt 03, with the mini booster on the horizon. Hope is gone, I'm quitting for a while. Will probably build aqua, even though it's total ass just because I love it too much, but won't probably use it exept maybe once or twice a week with friends. At this point I lost hope for this game. Let's see if bushi manages to reign in their mistakes, but I'm halfway done with vanguard. The only things that get me interested right bow is the vague possibility of some good support that makes aqua PLAYABLE. I don't ask busted, just not dead on arrival. And vanguard zero, to pass time waiting for said support.
I swear every other day I contemplate quitting this game either cause I’m tired of RNG or I’m tired of looking at the same protect clans winning all the time, mostly OTT
Banzai! You really think that fronts are unnecessary? Because putting the crit on a restander will just make them guard and u wasted the crit, with the front all of the attacks would be harder to guard and u have a better time handling defensive triggers, don't u agree? I really shouldn't have bought 4 Viviana T-T.
