U know solemn loves granblue more than aqua force when this profile is 10 mins longer than the previous one
+Spectral Dragon There’s just not much to be said about aqua... Beyond not ruining patterns, it’s very “call dudes n swing” like most V decks.

GB is the only deck that can CONSISTENTLY die on their own terms, and i love it
Went into time against Dantarian DI in locals yesterday with GB. Most intense match I've played with this.

I'm not sold on the Whale tbh. I was honestly feeling pretty firm with the 1 Flanger tbh, but I may try the 2. I think no whale and 2 Basskirk to have an additional ride target would be nice though.
Very nice, but I would really like to have more basskirks. I feel like staying on cocytus too long is actually detrimental, and basskirk can make similar numbers with a crit without really risking deckout as much. Not really hot on the scaredick, really feels like a "win more" card to me. Also, I think more basskirks can reduce the kind of "oh shit gotta ride skull dragon" situations.

Definitely try it. It's a lot of fun. The game is built around checking the top of the deck for triggers, so even the "better deck" can lose.
Some people hate that, but it provides a bit of a random balance in the average game.
Popping a double crit is always a good time.
dragomaniatcg I would recommend just starting out one of the trail decks from V Series. That way you can get the feel for the game and if you want to invest more money into it or not.

Really loved the deck profile! Just started getting into Vanguard, and I was immediately drawn to Granblue, as I love pirates and vampires, and mechanically, I love their mill/grave power, as it reminds me a lot of my favorite decks of other card games. This profile is really what settled the matter for me, though; Granblue, first clan and best clan!
That being said, now that Flanger seems to have been banned, what would you recommend to replace him, or is the deck not viable without Flanger?
It always was viable without Flanger. As long as you have Cocytus your fine
I tried out your list for my shop challenge and the deck did pretty well despite only managing to beat narukami. My other matches were all nova grappler and gold paladin...
I did not have alfie or scaredick at the time so I used a second basskirk and fourth nightmist instead. I'm still on the fence about scaredick because I just really do not like the card at all but I did put in a copy of alfie and he did pretty well in some test matches. Three copies of ship also seemed really cloggy and caused my hands to brick at severely crucial moments during the shop challenge so I cut ship down to two and put in a single copy of punching frangul.
The deck runs a lot smoother now and I'm really enjoying the new additions to my favorite clan! Really looking forward to your premium deck list!

during that shop challenge, other than the bermuda and some of the match ups where you had to grind a bit, what was your match ups like? I know granblue has some good matchups, but what are the decks to really look out for from your experience.
Novas if they use shout as their major draw engine will deack you out faster than you can blink
Novas with shout fuck you up, rest is pretty fine.

I am new to Vanguard. I have a Grand Blue deck I bought from my friend's friend and I have almost all those cards. There are two I don't have, but will get them in case. I need to learn combos of this deck.

Great list man, I'll probably take Granblue through a tournament this weekend. I messed around with a half built version shortly after the release and Cocytus is amazing, love it! :P The deck definitely feels alot more fun to play now :)
It is but be careful of novas with sout draw engins

GRANBLUE BEST PROTECC DECK
I know this video is old but I have just recently gotten into vanguard and I love this deck profile! You have already gotten me started off good I picked up the aqua force structure deck and added some upgrades and picked up a box of mY glorious justice. I pulled some good granblue cards and I really like your profile is there a more updated version or a structure deck that I can pick up and get some play sets of these cards?
+Weston Mckee This was the last time Granblue got support in standard so nothing really changed. There’s also no trial deck for it.
Thanks I appreciate the feedback I play magic as well and love decks that use the grave/drop zone so I think this is right up my alley.

Cuz I don't have room and scaredick is still a fine tech for those situations where you need to threaten with double crit lanes.

A bit late, but what's the best tactic in dealing with the meta using cocytus?
Dead. All of clans in current meta are accel and they are scary for protect clan.
My only strategy is try to get the +10 on first grade 3 ride and keep 1 demage cause its all what we need, then try to get +20 and crit with skull dragon on second grade 3 turn, and if you still survive, on the third grade 3 turn, end with double dick or double skull or Franger skull/dick. Depends on the situations.
Ezel definitely has the capacity to kill GB before it decks out.

Nova grappler will have a field day with grand blue lol.its funny how he says this decks only problem is decking out. I have a nova build that focuses on shout for major draw support even decked out gold paliden and great nature in a tournament and almost Bermuda they dont even mill as much as grand blue so emagin what I can do to them lol.

Hey solemn I want ur opinion this, afternoon I went to the vanguard wiki and found some new card in the raging tactics extra booster set. This unit was introduced as a megacolony card named Brownie Jerk its skill can forced ur opponent to mill a top card of the deck but including with additional bonus along with its skill. Could this card actually become a new play style for megacolony

Not to be a downer Solemn, but how consistently are you able to ride into a grade 1? I don't usually deviate from the beginner's chart, and I almost always have a grade 1 to ride.
Riding g1 is no big issue. If you're really afraid, you could cut 1 captain nightmist for a spirit

What is a decent sub for Ripple Banshee ( or is there? ) if you don't have any yet?
and now that Flanger is banned, how would you alter the G3 lineup?
Sub for ripple banshee in standard: nothing. in premium; sea strolling banshee
Replacement for flanger: nothing fills his slot... run maybe scaredick or skull dragon

but I think this deck will do fine against nubatama because it doesn't need a lot of hand Cocytus alone can rebuild your board every turn anyway so granblue can just early rush nubatama and guard early to keep the hand size low so discarding wont hurt much

I'm not solum but melody will have a hard time espeshally with novas , aqua force and grand blue running around. I played againt melody with novas last week and evan with thir big attacks they were unable to stop me.so speaking from personal experience it's not a bad deack just has bad mach ups right now.
I still think it's one of the best decks. It can annihilate almost anything when going first, but some other decks are now able to compete.

It doesn't come up. You don't use enough CB to warrant it, you need to run multiple copies, it forces you to mill and it fills a spot with a shitty 6k, that could be a 12k (romario) instead.

Deckout problems. And Nova or Messiah would probably clap Granblue.
Ya novas can make you deack out faster sometimes by secund ride.
And if megacolony goes for the mill route granblue will have a bad time

Ok I in no way doubt your skill mang. However, I don’t see this as the most broken thing in the format. It’s a very good deck overall, but it just doesn’t feel like an unkillable deck. I’m sure you understand my skepticism and I’m not saying it’s an awful build by any stretch of the imagination.
+J C I never said it’s the most broken thing. It’s kept in check by deckout. You draw INSANE amounts. You only stop drawing like that when you start fearing deckout, which is when other strong decks can push your face in.
I am pretty sure the deckout is one of the many things that keeps this deck from being unstoppable,
As well, I don't recall Solemn saying it was that, but it has incredible matchups against Bermuda,
Still, this deck needs a lot of brain power.

Novas fucks it with shout through deck out, I don't care about the multi-attacks. If you're able to draw freely (pretending like deckout is not a thing) you easily guard novas. It's just that you need to be conservative or you'll deck out + shout fucks you.

The other day in tournament i was forced to ride romario over romario because i didnt have a 2
Both times i put a 3 in soul
The second time i rode it gave me a 2
First rode my boi cytus and called 4 being 2 skull dragons and 2 banshees

+codeof zero Standard VERY often has a “win now or die” moment. That’s when you go scare. Hulk is 100% needed. Granblue is slow garbage bermuda without franger.
Solemn Vanguard for me hulk has always been I play him and I lose or I don’t play him and I win so it is just me lol and I know what someone will say and that is learn when to play him but I play him in the same way as other people and I still lose when I play him I don’t know why
