I love roozemans playing so much. His tone quality and vibrato width are fantastic.

He will be the least forgotten out of all contestants I’m sure! He really reminds me of Shafran - extremely musical and so eccentric in his way of playing and also his technique. I extremely admire him and wish him to be one of the leading cellists ..

YES! very much reminds me of shafran as well! I saw a video of him playing the bach 6 allemande, he has as very awesome way of phrasing such that it sounds like the human voice singing. He doesn't play the cello like a cellist, he truly sings with the instrument. He has easily become my favorite cellist as of right now.

I firmly believe he was the most talented contestant in the competition. He also has the most personality. If he goes to the competition again in 2019, he's going to win it I guarantee you. What made him win 6th place instead of 1st is because (I think) all the mistakes he made killed him. He must have been quite nervous.

You should compare the rendition of Ramm with the one of Roozeman. The difference in sound, musical intention and maturity is so obvious. Ramm got the second, because he is Russian and they want to see their representatives placing well.

It is Rostanvo A ja D, 100 % sure. Not so typical to use them, but matching perfectly with Roozeman's Techler cello.
