More about Gianmarco:
Gianmarco Soresi is a stand-up comedian, actor, and a little too much for some people. He’s told jokes on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central, Netflix’s Bonding, Don’t Tell, The Real Housewives of New York for some reason, and he was a JFL New Face in 2022. He’s acted in Billy Crystal’s Here Today, Hustlers, The Last OG, and in his theater days shared the stage with some people who’ve gone on to become huge real estate agents. You can see him post the kind of crowdwork clips that are arguably destroying the artform of stand-up comedy everywhere @gianmarcosoresi and he obviously has a podcast called The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi.🎤

lol anyone else watching the blanket slowly creeping down the couch. I can’t look away it’s driving me nuts!😂
blanket watch !
Gianmarco, I was a one night stand - get me on the pod as another child of broken homes 😂❤🎉
My sister had a "Harriet the Spy" phase, which ended after the adults read her journal. The controversial entry went something like "I don't understand what Grandpa does anyway, besides sit and watch TV in weird shirts."
I love that so much
This podcast felt like a therapy session and I mean that in the nicest way possible.
40:20 I think it's important to note that the phrase "blood is thicker than water" is actually a shortened version with reversed meaning of the full saying "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of womb." This full saying refers mainly to the importance of bonding through shared experiences (original meaning shedding blood in war) vice relying on familial relationships (the water of the womb).
This is an internet myth. The "covenant" one is actually the newer version. The original was "blood is thicker that milk" in Arabic, and that was adapted to "blood is thicker than water" around the 15th century. The recent "actually it was originally covenant..." doesn't appear anywhere until the 20th century.
I was obsessed with this a while back and went down a rabbit hole trying to find out if it's true.
@@Jrpyifythanks for doing the hard work for us
Congratulations on the 250th Episode! Well done, you two!
Also, just last month, I had a miscommunication about a ‘buzz cut’ (I thought it’d be a trim) and I got scalped. I was nervous to debut my egg shaped head but the hair is coming back.
Russell's face hearing the Showmance divorce story was great
1:12:22 the German version of the snooze function is schlummern, which means to slumber, and feels very cozy and soft 🥹
"Snooze" also means that 😂 I've always felt it was a cute word. I've never heard anyone say that the word itself was judgmental, though I can see how the culture can associate the snooze button with lack of productivity and judgment. Though I think any new word would also have that association. Even if it said "it's ok, buddy", if you already have that negative association, then it could feel condescending.
40:35 "in a war, easy" 😂😂
feel so validated i wasnt the only one who was kinda robbed of hs bc of the parents divorce. i feel so heard lol.
This shouldn't be allowed. The kids should get the house and the parents should have to commute back and forth. They're the assholes that chose this s*** not the poor kids stuck with their bad decisions.
Imagine if they had someone whose parents were never married.
As a Hoosier , the children's museum ROCKS
Kind of wild to me that some of ya’ll are nearly 40 and are largely unaware of the idea of an elopement or still grappling with marriage questions in general. Like ya’ll live very different lives in New York lol.
Dude are you coming to San Fran in the end of april or may? You're the best. Keep up the good work. And kind regards from the Netherlands
I have lots of California dates starting in Feb and will be adding some more on my site :)
@@GianmarcoSoresiI missed you in Dallas and I was not happy, so I hope you can make a point of coming back (…before we move from this godforsaken place, lol).
Gianmarco - your haircut looks great! Also, the gray in the stubbles is so hot. Keep it!
Haircut looks nice
My dad used to drive 2 hr Friday night, take us to various hotels for the weekend and he then would drive back home Sunday night 2 hr alone. This happened for almost a year. Divorce is crazy.
Ayyyy the blue singin in the rain shirt!
Corey's voice is incredible. I want him to read me the weather every morning.
Ok... that worm was impressive ❤
24:40 doesn't start cutesy but this movie exists: Scream for Help (1984)
what balding is he talking about? is he seeing ghosts?
Man you would lovvvveee my divorce family story .
Please add TIMESTAMP 😢
It’s always interesting to hear people talk like this as someone who’s extended family hasn’t had a single divorce
alright i cant do this anymore pleas change ur calendar!!
I love Gianmarco having to defend loving the *Sistine Chapel* because they hate visual art that much 😂
Gianmarco, you look good either way.
Gianmarco, don't worry, your gay male fans LOVE your white beard hairs! 🤤
I love this podcast, but Gianmarco touching his shoes and then touching his face drives me insane.
Let's just say this art moved me. TO A BIGGER HOUSE
i dont like how much carmen and i have the same childhood
No way, I'm from the west side of Michigan! I wonder which town he's from.
these people refuse to enjoy the whimsy and fun of espresso ☹️
I for some reason have a very strong feeling her siblings live in the same county as me in Oregon. These politics are also….not mine. You enter town on one side and there’s a hand painted trump banner on old pallets with the confederate shit all over it. And my town is still considered a sundown town bc there’s barely any POC other than Hispanics who are also racists.
as soon as I hear you've the you've gotta count your blessings theme song I know it's time to turn off the video. I don't need that positivity in my life
I followed Jay Schmidt on instagram as she did lol
gianmarco short hair and beard is hot. least attractive thing a guy can do is not look his age.
