    I just opened my own salon straight from school, 0 clientes. I put so much effort into it and studied specializations and target my business as specialized in, i went to an amazing area, expensive part of the city, did inauguration and nobody come 😂. 10 days later nobody was entering my place not even to ask questions, the company i paid for marketing didnt do anything but my web page, so i passed 2 days learning how to work canvas, capcut, filming videos and stories and working with facebook and instagram ads. Im on day 14 and i got 5 bookings yeahhh, yesterday and today neighbors finally started to come and ask for my flyers, prices etc, wish me luck i know im on the right path

      Most people would have quit after those first 10 days!!! You are amazing and this is exactly how it went for me! Once that momentum started, it never stopped!! Proud of you!!!

    Here's a tip, Girls! A majority of students went to fancy salons for their internship/externship, but I went to a barbershop for mine because it was my biggest weakness while in school. I went straight from school to my own suite.

    I moved into a salon suite , and getting your existing clientele acclimated to how you run things is no joke, especially when you learn that they brought bad habits from the old salon that you are now having to put boundaries in place .

    This video is so helpful! After renting a chair for 8 months and now moving out of state wanting to rent a salon suit, I was freaking out. This video was so comforting. ❤️

    I had to start business from home because all of the salons have been tricky and covid as well. Your videos helped me a lot. I even increased my prices to the same as in the salon I used to have. It's already one year on my own. I had to change a lot of things in myself. I think even if someone is very good, you will work 2-3 times more than in salon. A lot of things to do to make your company grow. The company you create is like your child.

    This is a fantastic video, thanks so much for making it. I’m a nail tech doing mobile services so it’s unlikely that I’ll have a lot of clients wanting to come into the a new studio. I had come up with this plan but was told nobody does it that way, but in any other field if you start a business this is kind of how it goes… have a savings to manage the first few months and build from there. Hearing it from someone else is always helpful. :)

    Las Vegas is very different when you work in a high luxury salon on the strip everything is provided for you so when you go on your own it's like move to a different state in a city

    This is really good. Do you offer one on one coaching for new stylists to help them execute these tips? I'm a new stylist, and if the price was right, I would definitely pay for help with going from no clientele to a good client roster.

    Just found your videos. I just got my license, have applied left and right to salons for a little over 2 months. I agree that it is better to be experienced before going solo. I'm feeling lost. No one wants to hire me without a year of experience. How do you get that experience without someone giving you a chance. What to do?

    • @LaurenFrancesHair
      @LaurenFrancesHair  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I would try to get hired as an assistant or front desk receptionist first. This will get you good experience learning how the salon works, and time to show you will be a great asset to the team before they commit to giving you clients.

    Anyone else watch all these videos and still struggle with the advertising and using Instagram aspect? I use most of the hashtags I'm told, I engage, I make content and have models but still struggle 🤣 I have a decent clientle and just moved to a suite but hell, getting new clients is no joke. I'm struggling.

    • @LaurenFrancesHair

      You would go to google maps and add your business. What happens is they send you a code in the mail to verify the address and business you give them. It takes about a week!

    What would you advice to someone who really wants to open a salon, with a good vision, management experience but never worked as stylist or beautician.massage therapist but not something I want to focus on. Just want to hire good professional.
