I don't know why am I reminded of Kabir and his love for the divine when I listen to this...He was also a cotton weaver for the world, but a pure bhakt at his heart. He thought of nothing apart from nirankar and his love!
His way of singing is somewhat similar to ustad nusrat fateh ali khan saab...laajawab....soulful

Not at all. Nusrat sab sang with force and energy. This guy sings qawali in a ghazal style
@@thetutorials.5716 when he was in 40s AAK had an intense style. In his younger he was more sophisticated. With age and need to perform at mehfils almost on a daily basis he has mellowed.
No need of comparison all qawal bring their melodious message of wisdom and lucky for us they are in great numbers to be discovered thanks to magic TH-cam

You can listen to this a hundred times and it is still so refreshing! I am musically illiterate -- I can't figure out if this is this set to a particular rag and taal ?
It is a simple poetry by Baba Bulleh Shah urging people to follow the true almighty in meditation(spinning the wheel) forgetting all rites, rituals, fasting, differences as creator is one and only for all. All the while forgetting your surroundings (gali de vich). Same message as earlier given by Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji.
I cannot believe we have lost a gem so soon.

Ustad Ameer Ali Khan qwaall and the party's style of singing is very close to the original style of qwaali singing. All the guys seem to enjoy what they are singing resulting in the listeners getting the full benefit of the qwaali and its poetry. I certainly enjoy their performance a lot as I am a fan of qwaali singing and judge it very closely. My hat off to the Dream journey team who brings out the hidden talents from the dark allies of cities and villages in Pakistan which might otherwise stay hidden from us. I also give huge credit to the TH-cam which is the medium that people like Dream Journey uses to bring these gems to the music lover.👍🎉👌🧡

+Pa Shaikh on from 5.10 Ras tapak raha hai. Khansaheb is soft and very sureela....at 6.53 Saleem Ali Khan joins in with the same mellow mood and taankaari that is passionate but not at all loud. lovely takrar on "mera dil nai yo lagda"

It emanates from a melodious heart and instantly get recognized by a melodious one irrespective of fame or popularity. I have listened to this rendition a few dozen times and still feel like listening more and more! Kamal Hai Khansahib. Aaap jaisay kalalar hamari nazar main tou nahi hain. You are a leading star in the current field of Qawwali , Thanks The Dream Journey for making it possible for me to listen to the few remnants of Dhrupad based singers in Pakistan. A few years ago, a colleague of mine at SOAS did an article on Dhurpad Singers in Pakistan; not sure whether they covered Ustad Ameer Ali Khansahib or not?
