About rolling in dice in batches... perhaps I'm misremembering the rulebook, but don't the two commanders take turns rolling their batches? I.e., if the Axis has 14 dice to roll and the Allies have 17 dice.. the Axis will roll 10, then the Allies will 10, then the Axis will roll 4, then the Allies will roll seven. That's the way I understand it from the rules, but it isn't the way it was done in the video, which is why I'm checking. Thanks!
In the air battle shouldn't the Allies roll 7 dice not 4, or am I missing something? Allies had one bomber and one fighter in Air combat, which should be 7 dice. Yet, the person doing the demo rolled only 4 dice.... I don't get it.
In the air battle, the grey numbers in white circles numbers are "vs air" so it's 3 for the fighter and 1 for the air/ground bomber. If the Allies were fighting land they would indeed roll 7.
1) When you are determining who gets damage in the air stage, you have to allocate all to one unit, correct? You cannot say air 1 takes 1 and air 2 takes 1, correct? 2) If 1) is correct, is that for the entire battle or just per colored dice (ie if you get 1 green and 1 black in the air battle, can you allocate damage to two different fighters)? 3) During rolling of land battle, you say the Axis don't use whites or blacks as they don't have advantage but from looking at the setup, the Axis have all 3 colors while the Allies only has 2 colors. Don't you have this backwards?
no, if I understand correctly... you do NOT have to assign multiple hits all to one unit. You must assign hits to a damaged unit before an undamaged unit IN THE SAME ROW. But if you have both a damaged fighter in ground stance row and a damaged fighter in the air stance row you can choose either one or even an undamaged bomber. Does that clarify?
Yes but here it should be both sides have all three kinds of ground units (no disadvantage for anyone I think as all started with armor-artillery-infantry).
Does anyone know the answer to this? Lets say Germany and Russia are having a battle, and Germany was first in the turn order. All the units have been moved, set-up on the battle board and the amount of dice to be rolled has been established, and neither side has force advantage in a ground battle. From my understanding this is what happens: - Germany rolls all their dice first - whatever colours hit, Germany (being the attacker and first in turn order) gets to select the hits that Russia is going to take. So if a black is rolled and its wild, Germany picks which unit Russia will lose. - When Germany is all done and all the units have been hit, then Russia rolls all their dice. - Whatever colours Russia hits, Germany chooses which units are going to be hit. So for example, if Germany had both planes and tanks in the ground battle and Russia rolls some greens, then Germany would have the choice between planes or tanks to take the hits, even if Russia rolled blacks or whites, Germany gets to select the units to be hit, not the Russians. is this correct?

Thanks guys, very helpful
Would be better to call the rule "Force Disadvantage"

@@NightingaleGamesLLC Yes, thank you!
Is force advantages determined after air battle stage?
Yes, the rules say FA is figured only at the start of the Surface Battle Stage, which occurs after the Air Battle Stage and after Strategic Bombing.
