Objects of Wonder: Andrew Wicks and Hiroshi Suzuki

Introducing our new series Objects of Wonder, where we explore beautiful and unique pieces from our collection as well as the artistry at work behind these decorative objects.
In this first film from the series, Adrian discusses works by Andrew Wicks and Hiroshi Suzuki. Working with very different materials: porcelain and silver, both artists fluidly approach their material, using a painstaking process of carving, cutting and hammering to create distinctive profiles and textured surfaces for their work.
