Super-helpful. I'm shooting my first wedding (for a friend) in a couple of weeks. Your videos in general have been extremely helpful in terms of reducing the number of "unknown unknowns" that I'll be facing.

This put me at ease so much. I'm painfully introverted, but love photography. I've done multiple family shoots / just kids photos, but this weekend is my first wedding. It's comforting to see someone else who's introverted and succeeding.

I read a BBC article the other day too that mentioned how sugar/glucose helps lower decision fatigue when you're getting stressed out. They didn't say refresh your mind. It was specifically about decision fatigue (which photographers deal with a lot). And the science behind it seemed pretty legit. Like it's a great short-term fix. And it can be a great way to get over any hump where a person is making a lot of hard decisions in a short amount of time.
This came out two days too late! Haha but thanks for all the other videos they have really helped. It went well btw!

Not sure if you touched base on it but i’ve done maybe 4-5 weddings, all for friends and this tips kinda goes without saying, but dont drink or party with the people because its very easy to get sidetracked and miss great shots. Especially doing wedding for friends who know you well.

I would say the kit lens exception might be the Nikon z 24-70mm f4 S, yes the 2.8 is better but damn that’s a good kit lens and can lead to some amazing photos

Perhaps a "dumb" question but I am newer and a Nikon shooter with a Z6. Do you always shoot in continuous focus mode? If so, do you have it set to shoot based on focus or button push? Your videos are not just informational, they are usually pretty funny. Thank you from So. California

What do you think of the Denis Reggie Wedding Photojournalist style? He keeps it simple and does only a few posed images. I was able to shoot my first wedding as a second shooter last weekend. It was for sure a learning experience. I took the more candid shots, send off, and the reception. Thanks for all of your advice!

I would like to get started in doing wedding but my cameras are DSLR's Nikon D700 and D7100 are these to noise for weddings?
Shot my first one earlier this week. Sony A9|| and prime lenses. ‘Sprayed and prayed’. Ran around like a crazy man. Got well over 1000 pics between practice, dinner and ceremony. Now to Light Room and to thin the heard to about 50.

hi taylor, how many shots is the average you give the couple? and how many shots you took?
For beginner wedding photographers, what would you suggest on how to charge them?
As a fellow beginner on my third wedding, I actually do small weddings for $50-250. It really depends on your experience, your ability to market yourself, and showcase how much you’re worth. That will usually come with building up a camera gear setup, a great portfolio, and a website. For a professional wedding photographer who charges $1500-3000, you have to truly deliver for that hefty price!
About to shoot my first wedding, one camera, one battery, four lenses and none of them are a 24-70mm, camera is a canon 5D, D is for dinosaur and it’s showing it’s age so yeah it’s the first 5D, bills, taking care of family and other things i can’t ignore financially kept me from upgrading, not getting paid for this shoot but I’m still gonna go that extra mile to do my best, hell yes I’m in over my head 😥, at least I got to visit Puerto Rico

Sugar restores glycogen stores quickly which 100% makes sense why it would help . Same way us bodybuilders drink intra workout carbs to replenish as we are depleting stores
I'll also throw in. Insure your gear. Accidents happen. And the more you shoot the more likely it will happen. If someone bumps into you. And you don't have a few grand laying around to replace your gear. That can put you out of work for months. So get insurance to get you new gear replaced or fixed asap
50mm f1.8 kit lens ain't too bad.. zooms, not so much..
Coconut oil. It has MTCs which is quick energy for the brain. Healthier than sugar. Especially if your on keto.
