Make sure after you finish vacuuming the system leave the pump on and close the valves then immediately shutoff the pump. Disconnect the yellow line from the pump and have the line at the gauge a little cracked. Then attach the yellow line to the r134 can allowing a little to purge the yellow line then tighten the yellow line up at the guage, this allows you to rid the line of any trapped air. Once the yellow line is tightened then start the car with ac on full blast and open the valves at the guage.

Edit: open the blue liquid line only. We don’t want hydro stroke in the compressor. And open it smooth and slowly
I guess I have to go back and re-thread my hose. I went by the picture in the manual and it showed them the opposite way.
