  • We spend our day bathing at the open air bath at Takaragawa Onsen. Both men and women can bathe at the same time with clothes covering the body provided by the Ryokan.
    The Ryokan itself is spacious and has a good view of the river during winter. The ryokan itself offers tasty dinner and breakfast as well. They also have very good and helpful service from the staff.
    Date recording: Mid February 2022

    You can do:
    - Bathe in the open air onsen (both men and women at the same time)
    - Walk along the bridge with snow during winter
    - Spend a night at the hotel with dinner and breakfast.
    How to go there:
    - Take shinkansen from Tokyo to Jomo-Kogen station. Then, there is a free shuttle bus from Jomo-Kogen station to the ryokan itself.

    Just the video I was looking for. Thanks. Did the shuttle bus take you all the way to the Osenkaku Ryokan?

    • @genobear

    Looks like there was no one else around. Was it via reservation for guests or is it open to public and anyone who stays at the ryokan can go anytime?

    Hello sir does it need reservation for day trip? The transportation back to tokyo, is it convenient?

    • @genobear
      @genobear  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am not sure about day trip only. You can ask the hotel for that. Well, transportation back to Tokyo is convenient if you use bullet train.

    Was this a weekend or weekday? Also do they speak English when calling to make the shuttle reservation? Was Dinner and Breakfast included with the stay? Did you get to choose between Japanese and Western Style Breakfast?

    • @genobear
      @genobear  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We went here during weekday. I know how to speak Japanese so I am not sure if they can speak English for shuttle reservation. I would assume some staff can speak as many foreigners are reserving there. You have an option to include dinner and breakfast when you reserve. I would suggest you do as there are no nearby restaurants. I am not sure if you can choose between Japanese or Western style for breakfast. I would suggest going for Japanese since you are in Japan. :)

      I just came back from this Onsen last week, when scheduling pick up for the shuttle you can call bc some staff do speak English and if not they will get someone who does speak English to help you out. They serve you Japanese style breakfast and dinner, it is a set menu. Breakfast is from 7-8am and dinner from 6:30pm to around 7pm. It’s such a beautiful place I highly recommend visiting!!!
