Today i got mine.❤ And it was a real journey to get my hands on one. I could have just clicked the "Buy" button on the website, but the price incl. shipping fees easily went over the magic 400$ mark wich is the number for custom problems importing pedals to Germany. Over 400$ the taxes and import fees are ~350$ wich have added up the pedal to almost 780$. So there is no way i can spend this much on a pedal. Luckily after weeks i found one on Ebay located in EU and got it for about 300$. I'm totally happy and it's clear this is a keeper in combination with the Keeley Memphis Sun pedal. I own about 12 different Delay pedals and even more Overdrives but the Mystery Brain beats them all. I can't exactly tell what the secret is, but i makes a great job combining preamp, delay and modulation. Yes, some of my Echos may sound a hair better but all in all the Mystery Brain is the winner in one box.
Really cool pedal, I might have to sell some gear to fund a purchase of one. . . but what to sell the Kramer Ferrington, the Kay Speed Demon, or the Emperador 12-string :'(
Great sounds! Would you use this pedal instead of pairing an Atomic Brain with dedicated tape delay pedal. I see the Atomic Brain (and DynoBrain) have a Tone and a Volume control whereas this has a Vol and Bass cut instead (although there are two switches on the Atomic Brain which I guess have something to do with bass cut? Cheers Second question how does this or AtomicBrain sound with P90s?
The Atomic Brain and Dynobrain both have a volume and Bass cut, the latest Atomic Brain adds additional presence cut switch and a gain boost switch. The Mystery Brain's Atomic brain preamp has an internal presence cut, The mystery brain also has an fx loop insert to place other pedals after the pre and before the echo. The simplicity of the stand alone preamps affords a mix of whatever you enjoy putting before and after, and to a degree you have that freedom w the Mystery Brain, but The space echo style tape simulator has an echoplex preamp in front of its input point, and another preamp at the photocell vibrato..the whole thing can get pretty greasy on its own if needed.
@@beerbilly thanks for detailed info.. I saw great demo of Anth Purdy playing his ES295 (P90s) via an Atomic Brain so guess that 'sound' is same the Mystery Brain preamp part - good news. Didn't notice the bass cut but perhaps that is an older model. I'll search again for demo of the new model. Also your 'manual video' on the Mystery Brain is excellent & answered some questions cos whilst I love the graphics on this in my mind the black and green backgrounds grouped knobs/switches by function but actually that isn't how they work as it's the three on the right and the ABBY that are for the preamp and the others for echo & modulation, at first glance I'd assumed all the green ones went together and all the black ones. Thanks again.
My nephew has one, he showed me it when we were recording my album. It ended up on every song. Such an amazing pedal.
thanks!!

Thank you so much for the response! You and your pedal made an old man happy 😊
One of these days, I'll be able to get one of these I hope 😍🔥
This is a great video demo. Please make more like this with your other pedals. This video just sold me on the MB301.
This is my first video I hired someone, and it was beyond my budget :) BUT... if it sold you on it, then it might be worth more eh?
It really is a cool video and excellent demonstration of the pedals capabilities. @@beerbilly
Super fantastic video
I want this exact one !
freakin' awesome
