i have a Judith deck, and 1 of the players in the pod was running Krenko and had a way to tap him twice per turn. he made the mistake of not attacking when he had 50 goblins, then when it was his turn again he made up to 200, but luckily they didnt have haste then i cast chain reaction dealing over 200 dmg to every creature gaining 40k life.
@@joshfarley7584 right?! There are many others that are great in this deck too. You pretty much can't go wrong by throwing in any good death trigger and landfall synergies.
One card not mentioned with Stella Lee is Twisted Fealty. Target Stella Lee with it and with the Wicked role, and using her activated ability to copy Twisted Fealty will win the game.
I fought the mole the other day... it was crazy, they got swiftfoot out turn 1... mole out turn 2. Then put trample on it... then boom. With a bear umbra on it, it was already over...
One I personally thought that should've been on this list was Kellan the Kid. With cascade, exile, and adventure spells being able to just put lands or permanents onto the battlefield is crazy. With proper setup it could get crazy and hard to deal with.
I love gitrog. Yeah I'll have my Yargle and multani saddle it, cast rile so its double power oh and i have unnatural growth out so it's 72 power... Draw pretty much my entire deck and trigger my landfall stuff.
doesnt anzrag quake mole only give u 1 addtional combat. since after the "if he becomes blocked untap each creature control" is a DOT. meaning the 2nd sentence is stand alone. giving u 1 additional combat each turn. not making it infinite as long as it gets blocked.
It doesn’t go infinite all on its own, but it goes infinite if you have a way to prevent damage to Anzrag, or if you give it indestructible (assuming your opponents also have plenty of creatures to be forced to block with). So if you cast that Terrifying Presence spell mentioned in the video, as an example, yes, it does basically go infinite.
With Judith, I found running too many wipes is actually detrimental, as for most of her best effects you need critical mass of creatures to kill. If you run too many wipes, you struggle to run anything else. Much more effective from a play to win standpoint is just chaining together draw spells and making imps. If you can produce enough mana/treasures and just cast storm off with draw spells, you can probably wipe all opponents quickly with the imp damage.
That's partly where I went with mine, but I actually also put Repercussion in the 99 and have won multiple games by dropping a Blasphemous Act with it in play. Otherwise, I've got a solid amount of loot effects and single target removal spells, plus I slipped Raphael into the 99 for extra support with Devils and Imps. All fun and games until a Blasphemous Act resolves netting you 140+ life, then you follow it up with The One Ring and never care about the burden counters again.
I have the same thoughts, and ppl don't like to play against board wipe tribal 😂 But I still have a few. Star of extinction is a super card in that deck. It nets u 300+ life pretty easy. And I use alot of aristocrat and impact tremor effects as well. It runs pretty decently I would say
I've been testing out Gitrog and I decided to just be stompy and not include the Wall of Blood types. It consistently attack on turn three, draws 5, and drops three lands. Untap turn 4 with a full grip and 6 plus lands. And this is the "fair" version. It's kill on sight
Voja is such a nightmare of a card. Taking an entire turn to have to kill it, assuming you can, doesn’t even matter because they’ve played a million elf mana forms and can recast it next turn
You missed Cadaverous Bloom with Gitrog... just in case you didn't want to wait for your next turn to win... exile all your hand for insane amount of mana and cast something for x (exsanguinate?)
Hey brought this up previous but still want to send an idea for a budget commander / tiny leader for vehicles : 'Miriam, Herd Whisperer' from Thunder junction set.
Ooo ghired goes infinite with itself. Just need an etb or ltb to take advantage. Copy itself, since it has haste you can tap the copy before it legends out for a new copy, etc. That works right?

Akul with Rakdos as an optional commander replacement is just ridiculous... I will be looking for Akul to put in my already built Rakdos Eldrazi cheese deck...
There's another budget friendly card that's broken w/ Ghired: Midnight Guard. TCGP Market Price is 6 cents. Midnight Guard: 2W for a 2/3 Human Soldier, when another creature ETBs, untap Midnight Guard. If you make a creature token, you can create infinite copies of it w/ just Ghired and Midnight Guard.
The new obeka is stupid strong if it gets to attack the monarch enchantments are stupid strong as wel as mechanic production if your commander has 7 power it insta wins the game for instance
Because things have reached the point where a Commander that costs more than 4 must have Haste, a Ward rating sufficient to make targeted Removal cost as much as a Boardwipe, and/or text that makes it an integral part of a potentially game-winning combo the turn it comes down. No one wants to spend 6 mana on a Creature that has a 0.0% chance of surviving to lose summoning sickness. I’d love it if it weren’t so, but nobody wants to play anything except Removal Piles, Pillow Fort or Fort & Stacks, and pod-kill Combo.
@@shawnpanzegraf5642 yeah you right. wish people would realize that winning with jank cards is way more satisfying. today it feels whoever gets to dig for their one sided wipe first wins
I played The Quake Mole for the 1st time last weekend, and killed everyone's creatures with 5 combats in a row...lol it was great, but then Noone will ever let you attack with him again..😢
I feel like akul's level of broken depends on the things hes cheating out and how efficeiently. If your dropping eldrazi and blight steel and so on constantly yes busted but if your dropping less "offensive" things then your good. Honestly he is a rule zero card. I would be fine playing against him unless they made the deck to drop the most broken and overpowered creatures asap. The ability to just put things into play is insanely powerful. Also sorry but four mana for a 5/5 flyer with trample and that ability? The hell wizards?! Given those abilities let alone his main one he should be a 3/3 at most>.> Gitrog again i like the ability just it does not need haste or trample. No need to work for a very easily insanely good payoff>< Swear wizard needs to stop printing so many brain dead easy cards that require no real thoughts to run or setup. Voja is just dumb and again overpowered. It has ward 3, vigilance and trample. Simply incredible abilities to say the least>.> It is beyond busted. Should not have ward3 or trample at the least. Its ability should be you put x counters on one creature you control not all of them. That is just insanely stupid. Example of horrid card design. Also wasted potentail. Water down the broken abilities and make it play off wolves. Screw elves! They have more then enough support. It would of been a fantastic wolf tribal support. Such a shame. Elves, dragons and so on do not need more support. Give some good cards to wolves, centaurs and the other underrepresented tribes. Voja fails in design and opportunity.
Akul isn’t far off from the og Rakdos except Rakdos was the same casting cost but a 6/6. With the ability to easily cheat out multiple big creatures for free. His restriction worked well in tangent with his cost reduction because you just play all the ping each opponent/player effects. The Gitrog having trample is fine and makes sense to get the damage trigger through. The haste is what makes it nuts. Voja would have been fine without having the ward.
Voja is so stupid, ward 3 is definitely what pushes it over the top. Why such a massive threat has that much ward, idk. It's almost like they wanted to design it so it'd be extra busted in arena brawl too. Feels terrible wasting a whole turn to try and remove voja when opponent has a ton of mana dorks and has ramped so much they're just gonna play him again. Then they just protect it anyway.
Judith is such a dumb card. I have a person i play with that loves these backhanded cards in the command zone. Thinks hes so good by blasphemous act on turn 4 or 5.
Akul isn't really that scary though.... It's effect is very telegraphed and the table can see what is coming. Sure they don't know what creature you plan to cheat into play, but they know SOMETHING is coming. The only thing that is scary about this commander is that ideal turn 4 cast. Beyond an early turn 4 play, there are dozens of commanders that do similar things and no one bats an eye. That mono red commander Razeboar or whatever it's called do something similar and is easier to set up. But I mean, Akul isn't ending the game the turn it comes down. MAYBE it can kill 1 player, but that requires additional set up as well. And what next? They won't be having another 3 creatures to sacrifice for a couple turns most likely. I think you're grossly over estimating this thing. Of course, I could be completely wrong but whatever. These commanders are only a problem if no one else at the table is playing something equally strong. But this is also another thing I hate about commander. There is a laundry list of commanders I'd love to play, but I don't want to be arch enemy just for existing at the table. If the entire table decides that I'm alone, the biggest threat on principle, then how am I able to have fun ever? I guess the rule 0 talk matters here, but jeez. The Gitrog commander is another example of my point. Yes, I hear what you're saying and that is incredibly powerful. But it does require set up. It doesn't have protection of any kind and neither do the potential saddle pieces. And OK fine, lets say you do the Wall of Blood combo and draw 25 cards. OK..... now what? It's a roll of the dice regarding how many lands you're putting into play off that. It could be 3, or it could be 10. Who knows. Its a completely dice roll on what your follow up play is going to be. And unless you use this to go into a combo win, you are FAR from "just winning the game".
i have a Judith deck, and 1 of the players in the pod was running Krenko and had a way to tap him twice per turn. he made the mistake of not attacking when he had 50 goblins, then when it was his turn again he made up to 200, but luckily they didnt have haste then i cast chain reaction dealing over 200 dmg to every creature gaining 40k life.
