  • This video shows the conversion of an old wheelie bin into a wormery for my plot. This costs less than £5 to convert.
    Thanks for watching.

    found the wheelie bin at the side of the road empty --- just after the bin men had done their rounds by any chance hahaha

      That's funny. It's now redundant since the council started charging for it, so I compost everything. I had to find something useful to do with it!

    A neat job Nic👍🏻. The worms will be happy in there. You will be able to move that into your tunnel or shed over winter. I left mine without protection and they didn’t survive 😞

      I hope it works out as I want it to Nigel.
      Shame about your worms. I'll have to remember to wheel them in in frosty/icy weather.

      Hi Jim
      It's at the back end of my plot, so down a bumpy grass track which is not too easy to wheel anything down to the road. I think it'll be safe, but you never know!!!

    How are going to get the worm poo with out taking the worms out ?

    • @NicsAllotment
      @NicsAllotment  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Billy
      I'll cross that bridge when I come to it! I am planning to put food in one corner of the bin so the worms go there and then I can get the worm poo. I should be able to separtae the worms and casts, but I will find out later and do an update to this video.
