Taylor and Valle are very different. Taylor is basically an auxiliary midfielder (which leads to Trusty being dragged out wide) while Valle tries to provide support in the wide areas when attacking. Valle always looks for the forward pass and takes more risk in that sense. We know what Taylor can do. With Valle, more game time will benefit him greatly, I think there's potential.
I disagree, Valle is unpolished but definite quality in there but it maybe a non-conversation lomg term, Barcelona may recall him, if he stayed and had a top draw season next season he'd likely move on quickly, Greg Taylor likely won't want a Ralston role, hasn't signed a new deal yet..Left back needs addressing. But overall on showings id have Valle as starter presently -has showed real calm and quality in europe too
The acceptance of dug meat mediocrity like Taylor, is precisely one of the main reasons why we never evolve outside of domestic matters, year after year. One good ten yard loafted pass, with zero Aberdeen pressure on the ball, and somehow that now constitutes as him being better than Valle all of sudden. Quite incredible! Minus his debut against Falkirk, last night was Valle’s first poor performance across all competitions. Aided by the horrendous conditions, how poorly the team played as a unit, and how well Nicky Devlin not only marshalled Valle’s primary link-man, Maeda, but nullified any threat coming down the inside and outside left channel. As the data suggests, Taylor is regularly the worst outfield player in our team in terms of efficiency and productivity. Valle has made 7 appearances less than Taylor, and yet his stats are already vastly superior, defensively and offensively. Quite the achievement for a young Bhoy playing the inverted role for the first time in his career, compared to Taylor - this is his 4th competitive season playing the inverted role…and yet, still he fails drastically across all defensive fronts!
Brilliant Brendan. Why can’t he do it in Europe for us. He has the worst record for defeats. Remember he’s up against Sunday League teams here. Plus remember he walked out on us then got sacked at leister city when got them relegated. Brilliant?? You sound uneducated
Its funny how different players are marked by different standards. I thought Hatate eas the only player who always trys to play forward and make something happen. But ince again Bernardo gets a start and i didnt think he took it. Much better as an impact player

Aberdeen's charge for second will soon be a thing of the past unfortunately. Having said that, I'm really starting to dislike their team. That Nilsen guy is a disgrace. Never liked Nisbet. Duk's a scuba diver (funny because I learnt scuba diving in his home country), etc.
Aberdeen are like Coldplay. Overrated over hyped and the personality of a blob of plasticine. We dug in and deserved to win. We were the better team and the only football team on show. Conditions were a leveller but we were still better. Great result.
