Not really. There won't be enough people to look after the old and the working population will be to taxed more because of the amount of elderly. It's going to strain the nation in the long run. Though wages in some sectors will increase because of demand but not in all though. People overall will actually get poorer. Eventually China's population will stabilise and then things may look better from then on.

As an Indian, I get the nation is a shithole. But lower birth rates isn't necessarily a good thing. Look at japan or south korea or now, china. That dip you see in china's population will be the biggest thing holding china's economy back over the next few decades. A larger birth rates means india has more time to use its cheap labour to industrialize and avoid the middle income trap. Well the birth rates here are below replacement level already
