If you have an LED light that can change colors, you could also have it be blue to look like moonlight for nighttime. Maybe even a warm red to look like the moment of sunset

Probably not too hard to put it on a timer either so it could reflect the actual time of day. Could easily do with a raspberry pi or an app I'd bet.

I can picture many different scenes for this like the inside of a log cabin with mountain scenery through the window and daylight shining through or even bring old memories or TV shows and movies to life like maybe Lassie laying on a rug inside of an old farm house and some kind of country landscape through the windows.
