I'm gonna do this right now. I may use 1/4" plywood and glass from unused picture frames. Thanks for giving me a cool project. Love the music you chose.
For the glass part I used the glass from a photo frame and it works fine :)

Hey! I made this with a black shoebox (I did not have any black cardboard XD) and it turned out amazing! I also used plastic instead of glass too, and it worked great. Earned a sub from me!

Okay guys I'd say this works soo well though tbh. I took 3 hrs to make it. But the result was really nice and I'd suggest u to use glasses instead of transparent papers because the image quality is very low in transparent papers.

Imagine, if you have an old LCD TV laying around that you're not using, you can expand this with a larger box and glass into something huge.

Hello! Just a genuine question
I am planning to make a supersized version of this using an old LED tv I have and porting my laptop to connect on it so it can display. Would this work properly? I wanted to implement a cool holographic screen for my cyberpunk room.
I also wanted to know if there are any alternative clear sheets I can use for this build
You can try replacing normal clear sheets with acrylic panels from another *broken LED TV. Tell me if you could make it! It would be nice you to publish your results.

I made a much easier one out of transparent wrap, just not that complicated and the result was amazing, but this one is beautiful as well♡♡♕♕

Yes it does work in light, but the effect of the hologram seems to become less robust and less vibrant in some ways when a light source is added in the ambient environment.
Can we use bigger glass for this like 25*25

cool work, anw what if i want to make an ipad version of it? i want to use it for school art exhibiton. how do i make the measurement fit for an ipad? thank you
I would first start by measuring the iPad and aiming for maybe a box made out of something more sturdy like some cheap but efficient thin ply wood and use wood glue for Marta’s of hot glue, and ull get the measurement for the glass when u make the box and I do ur slit it puts one u put the box together it’s as easy as measuring x and y and finding what u need
It will work with an iPad, same in principle, just larger cut outs and so.
