Answer plays this game like a menace. He wants to trample innocent people, but never a bad guy. The conversations he hates play out that way because he doesnt finish and leaves the interaction. Most people learn to like the people in our gang.
Regarding the slave catcher, I generally agree with Mason that letting him live is more of a punishment. HOWEVER, that "man" still hasnt seen his sins even when broken and humbled and holds to spite and anger. He may be suffering but the wrong person finds him and gives him a bit of power he would be a terror again. If the Lemonye Raiders recruited him or the Klan, he would be out there terrorizing innocents.
Fyi I like the new camera set up. We can see more of the screen now. Some ppl may disagree but I think only thing it blocks are the names of the cities u go in to unless I'm forgetting something, but I like now being able to see top left of the screen and more of that side so as long as u just tell us where u are I think u should keep it up this way❤💞❤️
With each installment it becomes clearer that Answer plays this game like it's GTA reskinnned as a western, but that's how you miss out on the true heart and soul of the game - my advice is to get your honour up and get to know your camp companions. I appreciate how far you guys have come in terms of gameplay though. You really put in the work and it shows!
Tbh, my head canon is that the "correct" way to play is low honor at the beginning. You have plenty of opportunities to have your "redemption" and fix your honor before the end of the game, especially in the final chapter. The missions there give HUGE honor boosts if you do the right thing.
Oh my goodness... The fury in Oak's face when deciding what to do with Jeremiah. Quinn playing devils advocate to make him suffer more. Then Oak deciding, "This one's for me!"
Don't donate the big game meat, cook it at the fire and stow it in your satchel. It's the best food, especially if you pick some herbs to cook with it. ;-)
Guys, you can hunt most animals (deer, boars, wolves, rams, pronghorns, *black* bears, etc) with a springfield/bolt action rifle and you will be able to get a perfect pelt, but you gotta take them out with a clean shot to the head, and make sure to *NEVER* put more than one bullet in your game or you'll get a poor quality pelt.
I should clarify, by "most" i meant the most common, medium size animals. make sure to study every animal you come across to find out what weapon you should use!
I recommend you guys should read the compendium for the animals… it explains what type of weapon you will need and where to shoot to get a perfect pelt for each animal
TIP 2: Check the time before doing missions. Sleep till morning if needed. Doing stuff at night is more difficult for you and even more difficult for us guys to see what’s going on!
You guys are doing pretty well at shooting now, don't worry about it. 👍👍👍 People are always going to have something to moan about. You don't have to catch every single thing people want you to catch on a first play through. Rockstar games give you the illusion of being to progress through their games independently but they do a good job at keeping you going along the story as intended as long as you come back to the main missions.
You guys do have the lantern, you e had it all game :P keep scrolling through Trying to remember off hand, I believe it’s in the same slot where your knife is in the weapon wheel
I like the 3 separate windows for you guys. Looks good. If you try to bring a dynamite wagon or a Maxum gun wagon back to camp they refuse it. Seamus won't buy them either. The house does not blow up, all that dynamite was for shooting at or looks. You can spin the dials as fast as you can cracking them safes during the Bank Robbery and it still works. The black smoke coming from your weapon every shot during the escape means your gun is really dirty and therefore less effective. Maybe check with Pearson re 'Crafting Upgrades'. The Hat; 2:22:00 If it is not glowing like Arthur's Hat does it does not go into your Inventory. It will vanish if lost or taken off. Cheers
Again, massive improvements from everyone. Honestly didn’t think you’d get there. A good thing for your cores and the ring around, always keep your cores full, you see one dip slightly just have some food or drink. When you’re looting and it says you have to much bread or celery or whatever, just eat one piece. Cores go up and your inventory is still full. And use eagle eye when looting. It’s great that oak is playing through again, you should’ve bonded with camp by now, hopefully you will. All the best x
Tip for looting houses and stores. You can use eagle eye to see what and where lootable items are. I'm loving watching you guys play through my favourite game :)
I'm diving in to this one real excited, love the red dead stuff, and all the others but red dead has a special place. also the lantern is in your knife slot in the weapons, you couldn't get it out in town as it is a no gun zone. Quinns redemption in full effect yeeeeee what a shootout. also at the end there with oak in the well I think mason quinn already went down there in one of the first eps.
If you're interested in hunting and getting the best hides/game, it's probably helpful to watch a hunting guide on youtube, its a whole side of the game on it's own. It's not complicated but there's quite a bit to take in. You guys haven't even properly discovered the trappers and the cool outfits you can get from them.
Whatever materials or provisions you have even if they're on another horse will be in your inventory so that you can easily sell or craft items. In my playthrough, I used dynamite to dispose of enemies quicker, catch them off guard, and as a diversion. How much chaos you want depends on how you use it.
If the L2 button doesn’t pop up just tap it and it will let you study animals or talk with people…. For example that horse, if you had hit L2 it would of allowed you to study it
A couple tips if you want to farm honour. 1) Do chores around camp, noted by the black dots in the more. Can be a bit dull but it can also increase your stats and the gang members will notice you doing work. 2) Fishing. I know you guys hate it (and with good reason) but throwing fish back after catching them nets you positive honour. 3) Say hello to people. Likely the easiest method, when you pass by NPCs holding one of the triggers (left one for the xbox) gives you the option to Greet people. Do it enough times and you'll get positive honour.
The dual wielding is great. Accuracy is about the same for every gun once you get the hang of it. You just can’t shoot too fast. Watch the grey circle around the white dot. If it’s too big your shots will go all over the place, but if you wait a second it will be as small as the dot, and your bullet will go exactly where you’re aiming.
Mason killed it! that's badass. A tip: don't do all the story quests first! Side quests and stranger quests are just as fun and some are only available at certain parts of the game, so you'll miss it if you advance the story too quickly.
About the perfect pelts: There is a trick. First you try to use the Springfield for the bigger animals like deer. It will only be a perfect pelt if you get it in one shot. If you study the deer before shooting you can see the quality of the deer - only a three star animal you kill on first shot will give you a three star pelt. There is also a talisman the fence can craft you. This will increase your likelyhood of getting perfect pelts even if you didn`t manage a headshot. To be able to craft the trinket you need to hunt down the legendary buck which can be found if you look at your legendary animal map.

Yeah I noticed that a lot of the times when you're looting cabinets and drawers and stuff y'all think you cant pick something up but you actually can, just because you as the player can see the items doesn't mean that Arthur sees it, you need to orientate/orient Arthur toward the item for him to be able to pick it up, even as far as to tilt the actual camera down or up towards whatever you are picking up.
2:40:41 The Deer hasn't been in the best condition even before you shot it... you can see here at the bottom right when Oak was aiming at it, it only had 2 STARS ⭐⭐ 2:39:18 which means it was either already injured, malnourished or something else... and then you used a rifle and shot it 2 times, not to mention that the first one was at the body... which immediately lowers the hide quality... If you go hunting do what Charles has thought you in the first episode. 1. Grab a Bow or Rolling Block Rifle with a scope on it. (Here you had the Springfield rifle) 2. Look for a deer. When you find one "STUDY IT", this will show you what kind of shape it is in, and what quality hide it has. 3. Crouch down and try to sneak as close to it as possible so you can aim better 4. Aim for the head for the one shot kill. This will give you the best hide quality.
FYI: Equipping to shoulder at your camp weapon locker is a waste of time, because if a gun is not in storage (is on you, or on your horse) it'll always end up on your horse. The weapon locker is really only for when you don't want a weapon to be with you. For example you'd probably do well just leaving one rifle, one repeater, one shotgun, 2 revolvers on your horse. All the other ones just take space and are annoying to scroll when you're trying to equip them.
Answer just seems to hate every character in the camp. That’s a shame. Just play GTA if you want to mindlessly run around and just kill people. Red Dead requires an emotional investment. Take the time to learn the characters and their intricacies. It’s an investment worth making.
By the way when you guys skin an animal and put the pelt on the back of your horse, you can put on multiple pelts. Except for big pelts like a bison, gator or Bear for example. But you can put multiple deer pelts on your horse

The characters always tell stories, either on their own while sitting around or when you play Domino or Poker with them. According to Dutch and Susan I do that way too often, but who cares? 😂
Yeah, should at least listen to the campfire conversations. I would also play domino and poker with different people. I loved the camp interactions so much I started getting repetitive dialogue and that takes a while :D
2:48:33 Yes if you want to have something crafted you need to go to the "Crafting Upgrades" first to see what materials you need. Arthur can speak with Pearson at the camp to donate materials in exchange for upgrades to Arthur's satchel inventory. You will need the recipes, you can buy these at Trappers i believe or you just need to have all the required pelts and hides...im not sure... Upgrading your satchel sections comes in two parts - you must meet the requirement to unlock the recipe upgrade, and then once you can see which animal parts you need, you must collect these pelts and furs and donate them to Pearson, and then purchase the upgrade. For example if you want the upgraded "Tonics Satchel" which increases the carrying capacity of all types of Tonics, you will need the following: 1 Perfect Deer Pelt, 1 Perfect Buck Pelt, 1 Perfect Elk Pelt All of the materials have to be in perfect conditions (3 STARS) You must collect these pelts and furs and donate them to Pearson, and then purchase the upgrade.
I love how everyone feels sorry for the old guy when you search the upstairs of his house and read the letters about losing job. Then you get downstairs and realize he was a slave hunter and all that sympathy flies out the window.

2:43:46 It says that you don't have any more space in your satchel..., When you skin the animal all of its parts (hide, meat, antlers... ect.) are stored separately in their own slots in the satchel. Since you plan on donating the meat to the butcher at camp I would suggest just stowing the whole deer on your horse without skinning it, and handing he whole deer to the butcher.
When a random event (white dot) pops up on the map, run to it fast and make sure you greet right away! Just by slowly walking to a random event it could end just because you took to long to get there.
To get the perfect pelts you have to use the correct rifle with the correct ammo and kill the animal in one shot, the animal compendium has the rifle and ammo you need to use for each animal you have studied

Riding a wagon or horse on cinematic mode isn’t necessarily safer. I can’t tell you how many times my character has collided with another rider, tipping my wagon or killing my horse. You can ride faster though while in cinematic. Just tap X.
Weird you said skinning is not one of the most realistic features of the game because it's exactly the part of it most people were absolutely amazed by. It's THE animation most people still remember when they think of RDR2 XD All other games to this day... you walk up to carcass, you press button, you instantly have all parts and at most, the carcass disappears. But mostly, not even that, it'll just stay there, unchanged.
Try going into first person mode if there are a bunch of items to loot that are placed close together, and you can't quite get the pick-up prompt for the desired item to show up.

The game reacts to your honor level! The reason Arthur is a dick sometime in your cutscenes is because your honor level isn’t high, that’s why you should make Arthur a good person!
From this point on you'll need the money, donating to the camp is completely unnecessary, It doesn't impact the story or the characters, the only thing you can focus on "if you want" is the ledger and investing into the camp upgrades, but y'all don't even use much of the ammo, medicine or food in the cams so there's really no point if you ask me. Form here on out the bounty bills will probably be getting more expensive so y'all will need the money. This is something y'all have been avoiding but I'd recommend upgrading Arthur, himself, by that I mean and his equipment, most importantly his satchel and weapons, you can upgrade that with the butcher (Mr. Pearson), when you go to him and click on "Upgrades" it will tell you exactly what materials y'all need for the upgrades (hides, horns, leather straps ect. ) for most of those y'all will need to go hunting but you can actually buy some of them with the trappers, but not all of the materials. Y'all know how to upgrade the guns, y'all did the Lancester Repeater and the revolver in this very episode, so i dont really need to get over that. Donating the money to the gang really doesn't do anything good... you get nothing in return... literally... maybe some honor but its barely anything.
Y'all should do a several hour live stream for this and make a day of it lol .. Did the lenny and arthur drink a thon at the bar make it to the channel ? I never saw it ! I was thinking you missed out lol
guys are getting better , but to get perfect pelts you can get a legendary animal to improve % of perfect pelts , SO GREAT work taking care of that Slave trader, I hogtied him and took him to the mountains and let the cougars take him out🤣
I would suggest taking some time to just go out and fire and test your weapons. Don’t just look at the stats or count on in the heat of the battle to show you how a weapon works best. Just go out and mess around with them off camera if you want. I love the Bolt Action and Lancaster for fighting, the Springfield and bow for hunting. And I’d bet most of the comments would have their own opinions on what works best for them. So take some time with all the guns and see how they actually work than just comparing stats.
Lol you guys should spend all the money you want customizing your guns, horse, Arthur himself. Every dollar you spend is really spent on upgrading Arthur even if it’s for the camp. Don’t think your wasting money doing that. You guys should buy express ammo for all your weapons, similar to regular ammo but offers more damage. Also I don’t know who said dual wielding is inaccurate but that is categorically false. Double the firepower and it’s cooler 😎

You can lasso the deer, jump off your horse, approach the deer and you will get the kill option, where you stab it in the throat.

If the L2 button doesn’t pop up just tap it and it will let you study animals or talk with people…. For example that horse, if you had hit L2 it would of allowed you to study it
Please try to do more side missions!! It greatly adds to the whole story and the fun activities you become a part of!
A couple tips if you want to farm honour.
1) Do chores around camp, noted by the black dots in the more. Can be a bit dull but it can also increase your stats and the gang members will notice you doing work.
2) Fishing. I know you guys hate it (and with good reason) but throwing fish back after catching them nets you positive honour.
3) Say hello to people. Likely the easiest method, when you pass by NPCs holding one of the triggers (left one for the xbox) gives you the option to Greet people. Do it enough times and you'll get positive honour.
Honor is useless, everything is useless in this game, the only thing matter is the story.

The dual wielding is great. Accuracy is about the same for every gun once you get the hang of it. You just can’t shoot too fast. Watch the grey circle around the white dot. If it’s too big your shots will go all over the place, but if you wait a second it will be as small as the dot, and your bullet will go exactly where you’re aiming.

Mason killed it! that's badass. A tip: don't do all the story quests first! Side quests and stranger quests are just as fun and some are only available at certain parts of the game, so you'll miss it if you advance the story too quickly.

About the perfect pelts: There is a trick. First you try to use the Springfield for the bigger animals like deer. It will only be a perfect pelt if you get it in one shot. If you study the deer before shooting you can see the quality of the deer - only a three star animal you kill on first shot will give you a three star pelt. There is also a talisman the fence can craft you. This will increase your likelyhood of getting perfect pelts even if you didn`t manage a headshot. To be able to craft the trinket you need to hunt down the legendary buck which can be found if you look at your legendary animal map.
The Bolt Action is the best hunting rifle for mid to big game.
If you greet camp members and random npc's in this order: Greet, greet, antagonize, or square twice, then circle, funny dialog chains happen.
Remember you can set up camp anywhere in the wild so you can sleep until day

Yeah I noticed that a lot of the times when you're looting cabinets and drawers and stuff y'all think you cant pick something up but you actually can, just because you as the player can see the items doesn't mean that Arthur sees it, you need to orientate/orient Arthur toward the item for him to be able to pick it up, even as far as to tilt the actual camera down or up towards whatever you are picking up.
2:40:41 The Deer hasn't been in the best condition even before you shot it... you can see here at the bottom right when Oak was aiming at it, it only had 2 STARS ⭐⭐ 2:39:18 which means it was either already injured, malnourished or something else... and then you used a rifle and shot it 2 times, not to mention that the first one was at the body... which immediately lowers the hide quality...
If you go hunting do what Charles has thought you in the first episode.
1. Grab a Bow or Rolling Block Rifle with a scope on it. (Here you had the Springfield rifle)
2. Look for a deer. When you find one "STUDY IT", this will show you what kind of shape it is in, and what quality hide it has.
3. Crouch down and try to sneak as close to it as possible so you can aim better
4. Aim for the head for the one shot kill.
This will give you the best hide quality.
FYI: Equipping to shoulder at your camp weapon locker is a waste of time, because if a gun is not in storage (is on you, or on your horse) it'll always end up on your horse. The weapon locker is really only for when you don't want a weapon to be with you. For example you'd probably do well just leaving one rifle, one repeater, one shotgun, 2 revolvers on your horse. All the other ones just take space and are annoying to scroll when you're trying to equip them.

Answer just seems to hate every character in the camp. That’s a shame. Just play GTA if you want to mindlessly run around and just kill people. Red Dead requires an emotional investment. Take the time to learn the characters and their intricacies. It’s an investment worth making.
By the way when you guys skin an animal and put the pelt on the back of your horse, you can put on multiple pelts. Except for big pelts like a bison, gator or Bear for example. But you can put multiple deer pelts on your horse
You can make the horse or wagon move quicker when in cinematic mode. Just double tap the sprint button and hold it and they will speed up.

Arthur can speak with Pearson at the camp to donate materials in exchange for upgrades to Arthur's satchel inventory.
You will need the recipes, you can buy these at Trappers i believe or you just need to have all the required pelts and hides...im not sure...
Upgrading your satchel sections comes in two parts - you must meet the requirement to unlock the recipe upgrade, and then once you can see which animal parts you need, you must collect these pelts and furs and donate them to Pearson, and then purchase the upgrade.
For example if you want the upgraded "Tonics Satchel" which increases the carrying capacity of all types of Tonics, you will need the following:
1 Perfect Deer Pelt,
1 Perfect Buck Pelt,
1 Perfect Elk Pelt
All of the materials have to be in perfect conditions (3 STARS)
You must collect these pelts and furs and donate them to Pearson, and then purchase the upgrade.

When you skin the animal all of its parts (hide, meat, antlers... ect.) are stored separately in their own slots in the satchel. Since you plan on donating the meat to the butcher at camp I would suggest just stowing the whole deer on your horse without skinning it, and handing he whole deer to the butcher.

Riding a wagon or horse on cinematic mode isn’t necessarily safer. I can’t tell you how many times my character has collided with another rider, tipping my wagon or killing my horse. You can ride faster though while in cinematic. Just tap X.
Weird you said skinning is not one of the most realistic features of the game because it's exactly the part of it most people were absolutely amazed by. It's THE animation most people still remember when they think of RDR2 XD All other games to this day... you walk up to carcass, you press button, you instantly have all parts and at most, the carcass disappears. But mostly, not even that, it'll just stay there, unchanged.
Try going into first person mode if there are a bunch of items to loot that are placed close together, and you can't quite get the pick-up prompt for the desired item to show up.

The game reacts to your honor level! The reason Arthur is a dick sometime in your cutscenes is because your honor level isn’t high, that’s why you should make Arthur a good person!
From this point on you'll need the money, donating to the camp is completely unnecessary, It doesn't impact the story or the characters, the only thing you can focus on "if you want" is the ledger and investing into the camp upgrades, but y'all don't even use much of the ammo, medicine or food in the cams so there's really no point if you ask me.
Form here on out the bounty bills will probably be getting more expensive so y'all will need the money.
This is something y'all have been avoiding but I'd recommend upgrading Arthur, himself, by that I mean and his equipment, most importantly his satchel and weapons, you can upgrade that with the butcher (Mr. Pearson), when you go to him and click on "Upgrades" it will tell you exactly what materials y'all need for the upgrades (hides, horns, leather straps ect. ) for most of those y'all will need to go hunting but you can actually buy some of them with the trappers, but not all of the materials.
Y'all know how to upgrade the guns, y'all did the Lancester Repeater and the revolver in this very episode, so i dont really need to get over that.
Donating the money to the gang really doesn't do anything good... you get nothing in return... literally... maybe some honor but its barely anything.
They bought the upgrades, but don't really use them so far :D not the ammo/supplies nor the fast travel :D

guys are getting better , but to get perfect pelts you can get a legendary animal to improve % of perfect pelts , SO GREAT work taking care of that Slave trader, I hogtied him and took him to the mountains and let the cougars take him out🤣
I would suggest taking some time to just go out and fire and test your weapons. Don’t just look at the stats or count on in the heat of the battle to show you how a weapon works best. Just go out and mess around with them off camera if you want. I love the Bolt Action and Lancaster for fighting, the Springfield and bow for hunting. And I’d bet most of the comments would have their own opinions on what works best for them. So take some time with all the guns and see how they actually work than just comparing stats.

Lol you guys should spend all the money you want customizing your guns, horse, Arthur himself. Every dollar you spend is really spent on upgrading Arthur even if it’s for the camp. Don’t think your wasting money doing that.

Also I don’t know who said dual wielding is inaccurate but that is categorically false. Double the firepower and it’s cooler 😎
