Grand Design has just gone downhill ever since being purchased by Winnebago. We had an older PW Grand Design (Pre-Winnegago) and it was an excellent RV. We full timed in it for a while and it was built pretty well. We recently sold it and purchased a brand new Brinkley. I will say the Brinkley is in fact made pretty well. We have been so pleased with it. As always, even with brand new RVs, I suggest getting an inspection done by a third party and do not accept delivery until you are satisfied that all items are in the condition you are satisfied with.
I’m glad you’re pleased with your Brinkley. The wife and I walked through a few of them at the dealer when our grand design was in getting repaired and we both agreed they aren’t what people are saying they are. They’re still low quality campers and that’s just our opinion.
Well I’ve got a 2019 GD Solitude. Upgraded the leaf springs this year but I expected that after 5 years. Other than minor trim pieces coming loose, a bad microwave and a hydraulic actuator sticking I’ve had no issues with it. We’re on the road for 5 months a year and put on about 20 thousand km per year. Had a new Cedar Creek before this one. Worst piece of shit that ever ran down the road. Had to fix stuff every time I took it out. After a year and a half sold it. I don’t think I would buy an RV made after 2020. They all seem to be junk nowadays.

I don't own, but in my research on new RVs, it seems that they are cutting corners left and right as I keep finding mega issues and lemons. Winnebago could decide to shut down GD, however, I think people could still go after the parent company, Winnebago.
