I was involved in a project with Futuromic (official distributor of Nikon in Malaysia), hence I had the Z50 II for a while. This whole video was shot on Z50 II with Nikon 50mm F1.8 Z and 16-50mm F3.5-6.3 Z. I was asked to share my experience using the Z50 II to shoot a video for TH-cam in a real-life event for Nikon. However, I did not have enough time to review the Z50 II itself. With too little time, I cannot do any meaningful tests with the camera to share any useful opinion. I hope you guys understand!
Hi Robin! That 28mm lives on my Nikon Zf when not shooting with manual or pre-AI lenses. Thank you for providing this - there's not enough love for this lens.
Thanks for this video, the pictures are beautiful. This lens is amazing, and is one of my top favorites for the Z system. I got it right at the same time as my Z5 when getting into the system.
Hello Robin! Great Video. I consider myself fortunate that I waited for Nikon Z50 ii. I was about to switch to OM-1 which is double the price of Z50 ii. It covers all my needs, I get a bigger sensor (sufficient for my needs) and now I have budget left for good lenses or a photography trip. IMHO OM Cameras are costly.
But to be fair it's a way higher spec camera. And only the ii version is a lot more. You can get the OM1 for only about 250 more than the z50ii. Sony, Nikon, Canon is the same, you have entry level cameras but the high spec ones cost a lot more. The OM5 is slightly cheaper than the z50ii and sensor size aside I think it's a slightly better spec camera. The z50ii is a nice camera. I'm tempted myself but I have to stick up for the OM prices because I think you get a lot for the money.
Great video as usual Robin. I have the 28mm F2.8 SE, 40mm F2.0 SE and the TTArtisans 75mm F2.0 AF for my Nikon Zf. Been very happy with all three of those lenses. A lot can be covered with those three lenses alone.

The 28mm and the 40mm might be the lenses that get me into the Nikon Z system.

I got the 28mm for my Z5, though I prefer the 40mm focal length over the 28mm (despite loving wide angle shots).
This lens have some weather sealing.
