@@stixzadinia8584 Stewart's a gun but plays the easiest role in footy. Loose man in defense and steps in for easy pick off marks. Has the license to never play on an opponent. Bolton has close attention on him every week and still has electric impact.
@@skillsmachine9164 yet stewart continues to get AA etc and is more vital to a teams set up compared to a speedy foward. No one has played the role that well since corey enright. Mature aged recruit thats turned the game on its head. bolten is not even close, regardless of positions. Not only that but goes harder at the footy and will actually bleed for his club.
@@stixzadinia8584 I'm a dees fan with no dog in the fight but if you think Shai Bolton is no where close to stewart you are delusional or don't watch other teams play and he was also named AA this yr. Stewart turned the whole game on it's head? Players have been in that role for years.
How can Kane say he’s not a bias sports journalist/reporter if he is going to put Todd Marshall ahead of Nick Larkey. Nick plays on oppositions best key defender every week in what has been the worst team in the comp over the last 2 years, yet still has a far better record then Todd
Marshall kicked 45 goals to Larkey's 38 and charlie dixon was out most of the year. Marshall broke out and I expect him to be a better player. More mobile and very accurate kick. Coming from a Dees fan.
Bolton was taken with the compo pick they got for Vickery. Traded out Deledio, traded in Nankervis, Prestia & Caddy, then snaffled the best bargain of the draft, Graham at 53. Quite a performance, turned them from a bottom of the eight side into flag winners.
Depends what you value. You'll probably get more years from shai time-wise, and probably more of his prime, especially since he's already at an extremely high level. Stewart is one of if not the best in his position, but he's about to be 30, so he doesn't have too many years left at the top.
My top 10 revisited (I'm not taking Stewart cause his age) 1. S.Bolton 2. T.Taranto 3. J.Ridley 4. S.Darcy 5. H.Mccluggage 6. T.English 7. A.McGrath 8. J.Simpkin 9. N.Larkey 10. L.Ryan How you have picked guys like Daicos and Cox is ridiculous
They leave Gold Coast and GWS because they are crap clubs. Fancy Healy commenting on playing at more than one club...left melbourne as a B and F winner to chase $$$
People bank on how often he almost breaks the game open or does and assume he will continue which he should. I remember flying to melbourne to watch my lions play against the tigers and he almost won the game and given how much he missed should’ve killed the game off earlier. However when he gets a defender put on him who’s role is to only stop him he crumbles e.g starcevich in the elim final. The watch in 2023 is whether he gets a tag or not
What a usless segment, why not predictions on the first team to suffer a player "suddenly collapsing" on field this year? Geelong might be favourite, with the oldest list. Although age doesn't seem to matter that much.
1. Stewart 2. Bolton 3. Taranto 4. McCluggage 5. Simpkin 6. Stengle 7. Darcy 8. Brodie 9. Daicos 10. Ryan
Cox is far better than Brodie
Larkey top 10 surely. Could be a multiple time Coleman medalist when he is in his 25+ year old prime.
Tom Stewart number 1 better credentials better leader taking nothing away from Shae Bolton though immense talent
Marginal difference between 2 different position players

Bit harsh not to mention Luke Ryan
did Kane dip his camera bag is a mug of boiled water?
It highlights the effectiveness of a high round draft pick.

Graham decent player but wouldn't go overboard. He's a fitness freak but his skills are average.
@@skillsmachine9164 That's right, slick. He's a decent player & it was a great draft period for the Tigers. 3 flags says so.
