When I hear this song, I think about the good times I had with mates from school & uni that have now moved away and have their own lives. Sometimes I wish I could rewind time and do it all again. But life goes on and we move on.......
Ryan Leslie this song has hit me time after time bro. I was in a bad car wreck when this song was playing July 16 8 Years almost. I was singing the part I don’t want to die then BAM I thought my life was over for sure. God was there for sure God is real I busted my head open busted my knee n broke my arm. They did X-rays my knees was okay and my head was too but my arm wasn’t. Every-time I here this chills bro all over.
This one always reminds me of my best friend from high school. He got addicted to having too much fun and lost his life in a DUI accident. So sad to see someone with a great heart make a decisions like that, and leave this earth on the account of it. RIP Big Jon. Still wonder who you would be today.
I remember hearing this on my local radio station in 2010 on my iPod Touch's radio app with my headphones; playing Halo:Reach. Wasn't having much luck on good teammates and when this came on, hearing the DJ announce who they were and the titled track; my entire experience changed for the better. I didn't want the match to end; I was doing so good lol. Not to mention that this album has much nostalgia for me now. 2010 was one of the worst/best years of my life. I went through self-esteem issues and was always a loser for my short-lived academic life. I changed it and now have a wife and a home. Working on having children and making a well-deserved life for ourselves now with opening my own business. I hope everybody has an amazing day when they read this :)

Man when I heard this song again, I thought about the awesome times I had with my cousins brothers grandparents and uncle at my grandmas house. So many memories😢
Nearly 6 months ago I lost my father in a motorcycle accident. Since then I feel this "Ghost of days gone by", each day, to my very core. Don't forget your loved ones. Be there for them and don''t take anything for granted. Even you own self. Everything changes.
My father just passed recently. Alter Bridge has been my coping mechanism since. I am absolutely convinced music is a form of healing after coming back to them time and time again. This album in particular applies to so many of us grieving and Miles Kennedy knows the absolute most perfect lyrics to express to all of us exactly what we need to hear. Thank you Alter Bridge, you are truly masters of your craft!

This song is a wonderful masterpiece that truly touches your heart everytime you listen to it. As far as Alter Bridge is concerned, you guys have all my respect. Greetings from Colombia.
My dad’s favorite band. This song hurts in the best ways. I graduated highschool earlier this year and the lyrics to this song just hit in a different way. “Before the years would have their way and break my heart” is gut wrenching. My dad and i were so close and I would give my life to have that back. Everything goes to shit when you get older and you can’t do anything but watch.
one of the greatest videos ever recorded, deep, meaningful, solely for the purpose of reminding us that we cant turn back, look foward and remember the good times
I've listened to this song like 300 times since I found it not even a month ago. And I hadn't done it before, but yes, this song made me cry for the ghosts of days gone by. This song is powerful.
The message in this song is incredible and so true. I love when songs have that dark part that come out of nowhere, where you least expect it, this song did that for me when i first heard it. I was like WOAH! This is fucking brilliant!
when this song came out, they constantly played it on the radio, i loved it but eventually got tired of it. now a year later, im listening to it and it feels like the first time. amazing
Love Myles' vocals in this song!....Mark's low harmonies during the chorus adds so much awesomeness too. These two dudes have always harmonized beautifully together. Alter Bridge!!!! YeeeEEEAaaaHHHH!!!
This is a great track. For those not digging this song, I understand, but not every song is going to give you chills, visions, and epiphanies. I'm just glad they are still going.
Myles Kennedy is absolutely amazing. I never really listen to the words of a song, I'm all about the guitars, but damn man,..his vocal power and incredible range are just incredible. Love this band and how appropriate that he sings for Slash...my favorite guitarist
It does make me sad that we can't go back but in all honesty I love where I am in life. I've learned so much and it's just going to get better. Obviously there will be sad times as well but that's life unfortunately.

I offer this song to someone that I hold very dear, even though I was left totally devastated. Life threw everything that was possible on us, and we held close together, because we had each other and that was enough. And we had the most beautiful and pure moments, of pure laughter and joy. We could be the kids that we are, not the adults life forced us to be. Until one day life happened again, and everything wasn't enough anymore. Everything has changed for me since then. I've wandered, lost, through a sad and dark place for more than a year, but what I've learned on this journey is what made me whole again. There isn't sadness in my eyes anymore. I'm living like never before, because I was never alive. We are strangers now, like we've never met before. It's a tragedy to see something that was so innocent and beautiful fade away like this, but... it had to be like that. I had to endure the throes of watching everything of us fading away. Our love, our future, our dreams. Because it was on my struggle to overcome that storm that I've found a different kind of love: the powerful love my friends hold in their hearts for me and... love for my life and love for myself. I do not feel that emptiness anymore, nor feel myself hollow anymore. I'm loved and I love myself and I'm so glad to be alive. There is moments that I'm overcome by this bliss of just being alive, of watching the beauty in the small things. And then I cry, because I am alive and I can witness all this beauty around me. I'll always remember the fox, the creature I've loved with all the might in my heart, who brought the biggest summer storm that I ever knew, the storm that changed my life forever. Thank you.
