Love the shirt. Man, some of these Goth girls are HOT! When I think of Goth, I think of Danzig, Type-O Negative but not The Cure... hahaha! Joy and I would love, love the Goth festival. It angers me that the beautiful young girl lost her life due to her chosen aesthetic fashion choice. The green 3 wheeled motorcycle was fun. That guy who drives it must be a horrible driver seeing how his passenger fared.
Haha, too true and I cannot believe this was my first visit to the Goth festival as it has been going on for yeas and Whitby is local for us, a place we visit every year. Hi Alan. Brilliant selection of music! Fascinating tradition, Whitby Goth Festival-WGF. Before Nick and Jill introduced Punk in their video, my expression to it was leather Jacket and pants, chain, spiked and dyed hair which was totally my misconception. lol Gothic culture, music and fashion fascinate me, especially fashion from top to toe in goth finery is flattering. It creates a impressive visual spectacle. Mrs. Metalman must have enjoyed dressing it. Oh, You don't wear any costume, Alan? Mysterious...I feel like I arrived in back in a day.. I did have a very old and long Edwardian coat I was going to wear but the weather forecast said t was going to rain all day and I did not want to get it wet. Turned out it was dray all day, so I wish I had taken it now lol. Isn't that the way, there is threat of rain and you cancel your plans only to find out it was a spectacular day! If I've learned anything, is that you just go, because the weather is not that predictable! Mrs. M missed out on a great time it looks like. Oh, that atmosphere is very much akin to October in Salem, Massachusetts! The backdrop of the Abbey and Cemetery is just perfect and of course the tie in with Dracula contributes to the scene. Some really amazing outfits and costumes. Very cool indeed. Look forward to seeing the other's content too. Good stuff Alan, enjoyed our tour with you.

Exceptional Alan. Just watched on the big telly with a very late tea. What can we say? We loved it. Not just the day spent in your company along with Watto and Kim too, which was fabulous, but your take on it. Awesome edit, great facts, learnt a few things along the way too. Music was spot on throughout, think this will deservedly go down well. As you could see from your video we were non stop smiles throughout. The Goth weekends are incredible. Id like to win the lottery have us redo the day, go into the pavilion dressed in our usual clobber and come out dressed in all the best goth gear. Now thats a lottery win. PS still sat on that ticket…
Haha, I do that with lottery tickets so often especially when I know there is an unclaimed win too, it makes me feel so good but than again, so disappointed when I eventually do check it and find out it is not me - Boo! A very interesting video. Many original, colourful people on show. I thought there was a lot more to it than music-based Goths, with pirates and many other themes on show. So good to see that the memory of Sophie Lancaster is kept alive, and the hate that she and her boyfriend received is not allowed to win. Really good video, Alan. I really enjoyed it.

Funny you should mention Steampunk as there is a Steampunk Festival in Whitby on 22/23 of this month and another Goth Festival at the end of October. perfect setting for both of them as we are big fans of Whitby and we live less than an hours drive away, so a place we visit every year. Fascinating film Alan, you covered it so very well. Colourful streets and even more colourful people, brilliant. Thought Nick’s Dracula’s costume was totally realistic except for the ubiquitous shorts! Jill’s costume was spot on and I recognise it immediately from the Nun out of the Blues Brothers. I remember the Sophie Lancaster case and isn’t it a terrible shame that people are killed because of how their dressed, or their skin colour, or sexual orientation. Shame on the totally ignorant and imbecilic Neanderthal types that inhabit our world.

Oh heck. I thought this was going to be as scary as the ghost stories in your last video with all those people dressed in black. Not at all though as everyone looked to be friendly and just well into their scene. Shocking a girl was murdered because of the way she dressed ... each to their own as long as they don't force their opinions on you and likewise you on them I say. Whitby is a fabulous town but then oh I remembered the Dracula connection and you got that scary music going... had me running for the hills ... that is until the chips arrived ... I came back for them 🤣😃🤣

Love the shirt. Man, some of these Goth girls are HOT! When I think of Goth, I think of Danzig, Type-O Negative but not The Cure... hahaha! Joy and I would love, love the Goth festival. It angers me that the beautiful young girl lost her life due to her chosen aesthetic fashion choice. The green 3 wheeled motorcycle was fun. That guy who drives it must be a horrible driver seeing how his passenger fared.
Haha, too true and I cannot believe this was my first visit to the Goth festival as it has been going on for yeas and Whitby is local for us, a place we visit every year. Fascinating tradition, Whitby Goth Festival-WGF.
Before Nick and Jill introduced Punk in their video, my expression to it was leather Jacket and pants, chain, spiked and dyed hair which was totally my misconception. lol Gothic culture, music and fashion fascinate me, especially fashion from top to toe in goth finery is flattering. It creates a impressive visual spectacle. Mrs. Metalman must have enjoyed dressing it. Oh, You don't wear any costume, Alan? Mysterious...I feel like I arrived in back in a day.. What I may discover as I explore this charging town.

I did have a very old and long Edwardian coat I was going to wear but the weather forecast said t was going to rain all day and I did not want to get it wet. Turned out it was dray all day, so I wish I had taken it now lol. First visit to the festival but it was so much fun, especially having some great company to enjoy the day with, I will be back for sure. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Isn't that the way, there is threat of rain and you cancel your plans only to find out it was a spectacular day! If I've learned anything, is that you just go, because the weather is not that predictable! Mrs. M missed out on a great time it looks like. Oh, that atmosphere is very much akin to October in Salem, Massachusetts! The backdrop of the Abbey and Cemetery is just perfect and of course the tie in with Dracula contributes to the scene. Some really amazing outfits and costumes. Very cool indeed. Look forward to seeing the other's content too. Good stuff Alan, enjoyed our tour with you.

Exceptional Alan. Just watched on the big telly with a very late tea. What can we say? We loved it. Not just the day spent in your company along with Watto and Kim too, which was fabulous, but your take on it. Awesome edit, great facts, learnt a few things along the way too. Music was spot on throughout, think this will deservedly go down well. As you could see from your video we were non stop smiles throughout. The Goth weekends are incredible. Id like to win the lottery have us redo the day, go into the pavilion dressed in our usual clobber and come out dressed in all the best goth gear. Now thats a lottery win. PS still sat on that ticket…
Haha, I do that with lottery tickets so often especially when I know there is an unclaimed win too, it makes me feel so good but than again, so disappointed when I eventually do check it and find out it is not me - Boo! A very interesting video. Many original, colourful people on show. I thought there was a lot more to it than music-based Goths, with pirates and many other themes on show. So good to see that the memory of Sophie Lancaster is kept alive, and the hate that she and her boyfriend received is not allowed to win. Really good video, Alan. I really enjoyed it.

I was never a goth, but I was a metalhead. I used to have real long hair. My wife then my girlfriend had short spiky hair. I have some pictures. Looked like a great time. I love that place.

Funny you should mention Steampunk as there is a Steampunk Festival in Whitby on 22/23 of this month and another Goth Festival at the end of October. perfect setting for both of them as we are big fans of Whitby and we live less than an hours drive away, so a place we visit every year. Fascinating film Alan, you covered it so very well. Colourful streets and even more colourful people, brilliant. Thought Nick’s Dracula’s costume was totally realistic except for the ubiquitous shorts! Jill’s costume was spot on and I recognise it immediately from the Nun out of the Blues Brothers. I remember the Sophie Lancaster case and isn’t it a terrible shame that people are killed because of how their dressed, or their skin colour, or sexual orientation. Shame on the totally ignorant and imbecilic Neanderthal types that inhabit our world.

Oh heck. I thought this was going to be as scary as the ghost stories in your last video with all those people dressed in black. Not at all though as everyone looked to be friendly and just well into their scene. Shocking a girl was murdered because of the way she dressed ... each to their own as long as they don't force their opinions on you and likewise you on them I say. Whitby is a fabulous town but then oh I remembered the Dracula connection and you got that scary music going... had me running for the hills ... that is until the chips arrived ... I came back for them 🤣😃🤣
