Hey Bruce Thanks for the comment! All my songs are played in the traditional Ionian tuning. Here I'm tuned to G D D. Of course you can tune to D A A, E B B, F C C and still get the same results. It's all the same scale pattern. The two keys I prefer are G D D for versatility ( More often allows me to play in the actual key the songs are written in ) Or E B B ( I just like the way my Dulcimer sounds in this key when I'm playing off on my own and the key I'm playing in doesn't really matter. ) Thanks! I love those keys/ tunings . You inspire me with the GDD. My wife bought me a dulcimer in 2005 and the builder prefers that key but plays a more traditional style. I can pick out alot of songs using the melody string but struggle with the other strings. You playing tells me it can be done. Thank you for posting your music. By the way my dulcimer is six string also. Thank you again.

Nicely done. Not sure I’ll ever get there or own a 6-string Dulcimer, but I just imagined Gordon Lightfoot being blessed by that.
