Having been raised by a narcissistic mother resulting in multiple (7) narcissistic siblings, I have struggled my whole life trying to find self-worth. God has been the solid foundation I have stood on since I was seven years old. I am the only one who listens and also the only one who has done a thorough internal search of my flaws, making amends where needed and humbling myself enough to admit when I am wrong or make mistakes. It is very freeing to have God's mercy flowing into my soul. I am currently considering going no contact with my siblings and my narcissistic son. Very sad, but, may be necessary to keep me on the path of God's light and love.

Thank you for your prayers. I finally realised that my husband suffers from narcissism. The last 2 years I was working my soul off to find a way to get us / him help. A view ours ago, i finished a online couching about Narcism and about the stages I was going through and still be facing. I am so deeply sad and I am grieving about my husband’s soul. I knew there was something amiss when I saw the milky color in my son’s eyes. Right then I knew I had to get out of his house, and I left immediately for the airport. Praise God for the Holy Spirit giving me discernment. That was five years ago and that’s when I realized my son is a narcissist. All I can do now is to love him with detachment.
I had a narcissistic mother. As you described, although she had 5 children she would pick on me constantly because as a little child till adulthood I used to love her & constantly seek her love which was never reciprocated. Even now in my late 60’s I feel let down, cheated & betrayed by my own mother. She used to behave like I was her enemy. I still feel the pain & wonder why did God let me go through this. I had a similar experience to yours. For 66yrs all I wanted was to know/feel that somewhere inside her she loved me, just even a little. It took my mother's death to set me free.To accept that I will never hear/know it. She now has to answer to God for her behaviour. I can look back and see how her behaviour honed mine - it kept me in constant touch with God, even if I was only asking Why or I don't understand - not to be deliberately cruel; - to try to put myself in the others persons shoes - she taught me the "sound of lies" - to seek Truth - to learn from my father to combat anger, to understand it sprouts from pain. Thus she did make me a survivor. Although I am not able to be grateful for her presence in my life, I am able to - honour her as the woman who nurtured me in her womb, whether she wanted to or not and gave birth to me. - provided me with basic needs ie. food, clothes, roof over my head until I left home, although I wonder that if my Dad had not been around, if this would've happened. God's Word says that He knew me before He put me in my mother's womb and that He has a perfect plan for me. In this I trust. Maybe what we went through and the lessons we learnt and are still learning and healing from is like they have basics training in the army. I had to leave my family my brother tryed killing me 4 times boiled me stabbed my ear out etc. I finally had enough. Yes it does get lonely sometimes but this to shall pass. It's almost over stay strong my brother and sister

I always struggle as to whether or not am a narcissist. I was in a destructive marriage and I did the majority of the destroying. I do feel I had narcissistic tendencies but I also feel my partner would set me up over a period of time to bait me into a horrible reaction. I was riddled with guilt and shame, constantly seeking an answer, sometimes in the right places but mostly in the wrong. I am now on a path to truth and better living. I still struggle with doubts and confusion. I still wonder if I am a narcissist since I have been told this so many times. Will this ever go away, will I ever know the answer? If not, I will still pursue being the best person I can be within these doubts and confusing thoughts. At the very least I am trying. I trust in God and my life is committed to knowing Jesus.

I did not listen to all the warnings until at the very end God said: Look at the fruits of the tree. Then God rescued me in a very radical manner. Since then I have been free. Now I met someone whom I really liked. And I see all the warning signs: proud, only talks about himself and his success, doesnt listen, no empathy, grand fantasies about fighting the bad guys, very much in love with his own looks, very shallow when it comes to faith. This time, I listened. I will distance myself from him.

I was naive, and he knew how to manipulate me. He. DIed 2 months ago, then my eyes were finally opened. He suffered the worst death I have ever seen. It’s like God took his breath away, and for 3 months he struggled to breathe. His kidneys failed, his lungs were damaged, along with other parts of his body falling apart. I truly believe that God took him just in time,before he could seriously hurt me physically.

Im not a fan of this either. I feel that it can be a tactic of the narcissist to call their prey a narcissist. That is the perfect example of gaslighting. I struggle with this question daily and I rebuke the demon that places these thoughts in my mind.

Just moved in, after some first friendly interactions with the neighbor, she already showed her real colours, crossing boundaries every day disguised as friendlyness, on sunday she banged on the window, screaming my name as she likes to do, I shouted back «sorry, busy right now», then she banged on all the windows and in the end opened my door and stuck her head in....then I was a little short and determined in my answer, she didn´t like that. She thought I am her new muppet with whom she can do as she like, now she knows it´s not going to be like this, she came to apologize but with anger and resentment in her eyes. Next time I saw her she looked in the other direction. She is the only neighbor on this hill, not sure how to handle this.

If not, I will still pursue being the best person I can be within these doubts and confusing thoughts. At the very least I am trying. I trust in God and my life is committed to knowing Jesus.

Amen. I grew up with a narcissistic parent. Then married one at a very young age. I stayed with him for ten years. I did not listen to all the warnings until at the very end God said: Look at the fruits of the tree. Then God rescued me in a very radical manner. Since then I have been free. Now I met someone whom I really liked. And I see all the warning signs: proud, only talks about himself and his success, doesnt listen, no empathy, grand fantasies about fighting the bad guys, very much in love with his own looks, very shallow when it comes to faith.
This time, I listened. I will distance myself from him.

It is wonderful to know that God is with us and understands our pain and suffering. I was married to one and couldn’t figure out what what wrong with our marriage. I was naive, and he knew how to manipulate me. He. DIed 2 months ago, then my eyes were finally opened. He suffered the worst death I have ever seen. It’s like God took his breath away, and for 3 months he struggled to breathe. His kidneys failed, his lungs were damaged, along with other parts of his body falling apart. I truly believe that God took him just in time,before he could seriously hurt me physically.

I hate lables like "narcissist ". They are people who are profoundly self absorbed and need God's healing. It's a demonic attachment and they can be healed.....
Im not a fan of this either. I feel that it can be a tactic of the narcissist to call their prey a narcissist. That is the perfect example of gaslighting. I struggle with this question daily and I rebuke the demon that places these thoughts in my mind.
Most don't want to be healed and they think you are the problem and like drug addicts once an addict is always an addict.

Just moved in, after some first friendly interactions with the neighbor, she already showed her real colours, crossing boundaries every day disguised as friendlyness, on sunday she banged on the window, screaming my name as she likes to do, I shouted back «sorry, busy right now», then she banged on all the windows and in the end opened my door and stuck her head in....then I was a little short and determined in my answer, she didn´t like that. She thought I am her new muppet with whom she can do as she like, now she knows it´s not going to be like this, she came to apologize but with anger and resentment in her eyes. Next time I saw her she looked in the other direction. She is the only neighbor on this hill, not sure how to handle this.
