Thank you for this tour of Ust Kut - a community which I often view on TH-cam. I’ll refer to your video in future, for help in trying to determine where buildings are located in relationship to the ‘city center,’ i.e., the main street, the park, the train and bus stations, and City Hall.
Hi, I too follow Ust Kut via TH-cam and webcams. A place I happened to stumble across while looking at googlemaps. A few years later and I'm fascinated!
Ust Kut is a town I have followed for 3 or 4 years via the extensive webcam system around the town. I follow the seasons, research various aspects of Ust Kut such as new construction developments and I feel I know as much about the history and the current town as I do about my own here in Scotland. It may seem u remarkable to you but I would love to visit.
ditto! my thoughts exactly. it's as if i wrote the comment. i came across the cameras too and the town has gotten my interest. i've gone to wiki to learn about the history. i love the forests around the town. such beautiful country. i even go to the point of locating the cameras on google earth. lately i've been watching the reconstruction of the bridge connecting to the island. the first one knocked over by an ice flow, this one is bullet-proof. i don't know why i'm so fascinated, but i am.😃❤👍
Yeah the bridge looks solid as! Though progress seems to have dried down considerably in recent weeks. I also follow events around the town of Lensk further up the Lena in Yakutia. Its a very well appointed town due to being flooded in 2001 it underwent extensive rebuilding and it seems that the local government have more disposal income for cultural events and modernisation of buildings that perhaps the Ust Kut area has. At Lensk the river is much wider and the views across are amazing sun rises in winter are spectacular and very beautiful. Check out the 'Larry Ros' channel
Yes, great interior design, some quirky touches but not too much to take away from the cool vibe. I took the video during the day when it was quiet, so as not to interfere, but in the evening it was buzzing. Next time you're in Ust'-Kut you need to go there.
We need a reality show from there would like to know who the 3 workers are at the store 10 miles out of downtown the arrive by bus by 8:30 am every week day
Finally spotted your head covered! Cheers from Calgary and travelling further West by plane and into the warmest city in Canada at this point. So many opposites to your movement!
I have fired my continuity director with immediate effect! With you travelling west, and us further east, it sounds like we are getting closer and closer! Warm wishes to Canada!
Russia is such an interesting country, what a pity what is happening now, I would have liked to visit Russia, I like it geographically and culturally, it is very interesting
It really is fascinating. A huge country and so much to see. Multiple cultures, various landscapes, huge distances. It is harder to visit now, but not impossible. And while there are few tourists and the rouble is cheap, there is no better time. Just put up two new videos about our fishing trip to Konakovo. Hope you like them👍
It's only redeeming feature was that we could warm up for a few minutes. They were unable to serve us anything at all, as the electricity kept cutting out, so I can't tell you what the sushi itself was like (perhaps that is fortunate)....
You Tube.
I've been looking at Ust Kut for about a year now on the many webcams on You Tube. I was delighted to find this video, thank you.
I'm glad you liked it. Hope the videos from further along the BAM are also of interest.

I took a look at the Bunker Bar on Google Maps. Surprisingly hipster inside, with a selection of top whiskey brands shown, and an endearing dachshund.

No, we didn't go up that particular road, but we did see a number of other packs of dogs in various places, all looking healthy and lively.
