Laapata Ladies, I agree Ravi Kishan was over the top through out the film but he more than made it up in the last scene. Excellent banter as usual - love it and look forward to the next episode. Thanks guys.

After cracking a joke, Abhinandan looks so pleased with himself like his work is done here.
What I want to add is that Jatt has became almost synonymous with farmer at this point in songs.
There are so many singers who are not Jatts and still sing those songs
Mr. Abhinandan sekhri , humble request, its been many years since dhruv rathee or Prashant kishor has been on newslaundry , whenever possible in near future , it would be great to see you interview them.
The criticism Chamkila faced was primarily about his music & lyrics. The movie needed to have all of that music because it was important to see how his music was accepted by masses and criticised by antis. Making a movie on Chamkila without showing what kind of music he made, how he depicted the society in his lyrics and why he chose to sing the songs he sang would have been pointless.
1. Abhinanadan Please watch socha na tha and Jab we met.
2. Rajshree Ji .. Tamasha is the best work by Ranbir Singh .. it seems you had my zero respect for that but at the end .. you told good about the Khosla Ka Ghosla .. so you are now 2/10 just for the sake of my fav movie.

I don't know how you guys are watching things, but at least laapata ladies a consistent language to it. I think it is supposed to be a little innocent and goofy which is the vibe that every character imbibes pretty well. On the other hand Chamkila felt a little bland and inconsistent, the graphics/animation were so different from one scene to the other. The music was good but Parineeti only visually looked the part but her acting was the worst thing I've seen, she wasn't even close to the punjabi desi-ness, her way of talking felt very delhi like and it felt like she was Parineeti and not Amarjot at all. The kids in Laapata ladies did such a convincing job on the other hand, again given the 'fictional' sweet village setting they were in.

I don't have any issues about your not liking Chamkila or Tamasha (seriously? Reviewer worth your salt?! Yahaan kar kya nahi ho?). You should just watch some frothy, light films to review.
